Not to my knowledge.

But the car did toss the exhaust system at the repair guys the last time they got it up on the lift.

Key off. Foot on the brake. Try and shift into first, then back into neutral. Do this a couple times. If it catches, its the reverse lockout switch...

Does this work for a standard trans?

Sounds like the starter.
Sounds like what happened with the 1990 Geo Metro where the starter brushes arc cut a gouge into the starter commutator thingy and would only crank at certain starter positions.
(Sometimes letting it sit a bit would get it to start.)

OK. I'll get the tune-up first, and if necessary, wait a day to have the alignment. Thanks for all the help, guys!

I never knew you had manual transmission in America, I thought all cars are automatics.

Actually, my 1970 Delta 88 Sport had the ignition switch go toes up in it. That thar was a finicky vehicle. My Dad called it a "rolling death trap that has way too much horsepower for it's own good" after I let him borrow it to make it in to work one night. Coming from a Sheriff's Deputy of 20-some odd years of patrol experience I took it as a sign I needed to port the heads a bit more.

Thanks.

That's easy to remember: a 3 at the end points and a couple of 5s and 1s in the middle. All one has to rember basically is a 3 a 5 and a 1. It's also precise to 5 decimal points.

Rain? I remember rain. I'm fairly certain it rained once here.

This is a pickup truck, and it has a four-speed, though I would have preferred a 5-speed for the overdrive. (I've driven automatics, but I prefer standard.) And you can get any combination you want...including a diesel engine with whatever tranny...the car builders LOVE special orders!

LOL!

Mom's Audi A4 2.8 is somewhat 'too much car' for my experience.
You hit the accel pedal slightly, and the thing is rocketing off.
(5 valves per...)

Quite surprising for a station wagon, and quite a nasty surprise for the kids in the Honda Civics.

Had a VW Dasher with a bad ignition switch.
It would do odd stuff like make the lights go nuts and various other inexplicable things.
All from a little 3 buck at most switch.

True, in Britain and Ireland the vast majority of cars are manual, I have seen about 2-3 automatic cars in my life!!

"A broken egg is in a more stable state than is was before it broke, it's entropy increased when it broke."

This entropy stuff is difficult to digest and retain.

The car is quite a sight.
Oxidised hood roof and trunk.
Somebodys footprint smashed into the passenger front fender, and a rock dent from some punk named Eduardo in the drivers front fender.

But, it suits me.
Frayed around the edges, just like me.
