"Ah...what games are on the schedule?"

We have to invent our own. There's (or will be) the swimming bubble, a big pool of warm water held in place by surface tension and jets of air. We'll need to discover how to swim in that without drowning.

Then there's the flying court, where we can don wings à la Robert Heinlein's description, except in a smaller space. Then there are some smaller spaces along the axis for as yet undetermined activities.

I'm sure we'll figure something out.

"...I prefer YOUR DC to his DC...*snort*"

And I prefer both to my DC. That is, the neighborhood down the road which gets so much attention.

LOL!

"Alien" is on right now, on Spike. The Alien has just done it's first molt. Maybe we can invent a game using that scenario? (NOT!!!)

The pool sounds like one of those "endless pool" I've heard of. Provided there's air space, with breathable air, above the surface, swimming should not be problem.

Otoh, if no breathable air is available, sounds like we'll all need to get certified in scuba!

Gotta run...the afternoon circus is about to start.

Chat soonly.

Double double digits using the same digits as my earlier palindrome. Surely that's worth something sugary?

Speaking of movies, has anyone seen "Walk The Line"?

It's about some country singer....

"Walk The Line" was a song written by Johnny Cash, right after het met his wife, June Carter.

He actually wasn't "some country singer."

No...I don't see movies when they first come out. Ever. (Except LOTR,) because I don't like going to movies alone.

The real one? She's kinda ...er...dead. She didn't last too long after Johnnoy died.

"Walk The Line" may be one of the last biographical movies that is forced to use someone else's face to portray that of its central character. In the future, which means next week, "facial motion capture" will enable the actor who is portraying the hero to be replaced by a computer generated image in real time which corresponds to the emotions displayed by the actor.

This technique was used in the most recent remake of "King Kong." Kong's face in the movie is mirroring the motions of the actor who played him, just as his body is doing the same things.

It's a remarkably powerful bit of computer magic, and we'll all have access to it someday when the home computer can do the same thing in real time. No problem answering the videophone then, except deciding who you want to be, or what you want to look like.

Seeing won't be believing.

Now that's not right...
I hate the thought of the actor not actually doing the singing. I think that went out with Milli Vanilli, didn't it?
