I used to have Honda, but I think the Toyota is better, actually. At least the older ones, anyway.

They aren't very diverse in terms of veichles they manufacture, but they do supply a lot of engines to other companies. I think they are the World's largest producer of engines.

"Somebody thinks they're going to beat us to Mars!"

I'm not jealous. I'll be happy to steal their technology if they can prove it.

This is reminiscent of my plans for developing a second generation space vehicle. We even have a storage bay devoted to building and experimenting with drive engines for it.

My thinking is to use the magnetic coils as part of the power plant, in the form of controlled fusion, as well as attempt to generate at the very least a reactionless drive.

If the intense magnetic fields can warp space, that will be useful. If not, they may still operate to provide thrust within planetary systems.

"My nephew has one, (a starter), he can put in, but I need to get the truck to him."

Well, 'Face, you only need to get it started one more time, then don't shut it off. You should be able to make forty miles without needing to do that.

As far as getting it started, you might need a hill, or a push.

I tried to start it this morning, and it wouldn't, so I comandeered my neighbor to give me a push tomorrow morning. The only problem here is that it's in a parking lot that has only one outlet ~~ onto a busy four-lane street.

However, if the timing is right, I can get it started, and once it is going, I won't shut it off until I pull into my nephew's driveway. I have two keys to it, so I'm not above locking my keys in the car! ;o]

Sometimes, with a balky starter, just nudging it a bit can get it to a point where it will catch. you can even rock back and forth inside the vehicle to do it.

I used to have a Toyota car that just hated to start. I usually parked it on a hill.

I called it my "West Virginia" starter, partly because, at the time, I was staying in West Virginia.
