Wars are not fought against individuals, they are fought against nations.
It is not the mullahs who are our enemies. It is the nation of Iran.
No, Our alphabet is Persian and has nothing to do with Arabic!
Btw it is Persian not Farsi

Persian (Iranian) people in the English-speaking countries are the only community who use two different terms to refer to their language, Farsi and Persian. This behavior has caused some confusion among the Westerners as to the appropriateness of these terms.
Farsi (an Arabic adaptation of the word Parsi), is the indigenous name of the Persian language. Just as the German speaking people refer to their language as Deutsch, the Greek Ellinika and the Spanish Espanol, the Persians use Farsi or Parsi to identify their native form of verbal communication.
In English, however, this language has always been known as Persian (Persane in French and Persisch in German). But many Persians migrating to the West (particularly to the USA) after the 1979 revolution continued to use Farsi to identify their language in English and the word became commonplace in English-speaking countries.
In the West when one speaks of Persian Language, people can immediately connect it with several famous aspects of that culture and history such as Persian Gulf, Persian Carpet, Persian food, Persian poetry, Persian cat, etc. But Farsi is void of such link which is only obvious for people in Persia (Iran) and a few other nations in the Middle East.
WTF?!?
You gotta be kidding me!
The Iranians have nothing to do with this evil regime ruling Iran today.
If you have no idea or knowledge then please stay quiet and learn before commenting.
This was the most hillarious BS I have ever heard on FR
It is not banned any more!
Yeah, the choice in reality is Islamic Theocracy, Monarchy, or Democracy.
I dont get it. How do you think you are going to accomplish a democracy in Iran?
Do you think that the mullahs are just going to surrender to your protest signs?
Whats the plan?
It is not a personal attack against you, so please kindly don't take it as such.
The truth is that you represent only one side of the coin. The vocal opposition to the Iranian government. There is also a large percentage of Iranians who do in fact support the Iranian leadership.
It is both foolish and naive for anyone to think that your views represent a majority of Iranians.
You will find a lot of comradery from all of here at FR and that is to be expected.
Because an American-style of Democracy is not an ideal system in a majority Muslim country.
What about the alphabet?
That sign is beautiful. By writing in English they are sending a message to America. Perhaps they are also saying they have an American idea, though liberty is a human ideal.
8-11 percent of dumb Iranians support the mullahs for personal interests or their own pockets!
Even there are loyal to regime people who are unhappy with the direction their Mullas are taking!
I didnt take it personal but I am in fact frustrated to see that the westerners think the people of Iran are at war with them!
Look, if we had a choice to choose our leadership, we wouldnt be at this situation in the first place!
There are some similarities between Arabic and Persian language but the phonetics, vowels and grammar are totally different.
Arabic is like French where letters and numbers can be divided into male and female form but Persian is just like plain English with the same grammar!
Yes, they want to communicate with the rest of the world!
They say, please hear us! :-)
OK now you sound like a democrat. Aren't they the ones proclaiming that the people in ME don't want democracy and freedom as we have here in the Western world?
Iranians, Iranian NATION, has been in a struggle for true democracy for almost a Century - don't forget the Constitutional revolution of the early 20th C.
Iranian NATION is NOT where the trouble lies. It is the mollas' regime in control of Iran which is the problem. That is why I cannot understand President Bush's message about Iraq democracy spreading to Iran. Iranians, the vast majority of them, have a very mature understanding of democracy and desire it with all their heart and soul. What they need from the outside world is strong forceful condemnation of the mollas' regime and ABSOLUTELY NO NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE MOLLAS. They want EU and US to unite on the issue of Iran and stop bickering and NO MORE APPEASEMENT and hand wringing and excusing of the mollas' regime and behavior. Europe HAS TO stop its trade and economic links with that criminal regime which they have been justifying under their sham "constructive engagements" which has only had the effect of emboldening the regime and weakening the democracy advocates.
Wow, glad I got that off my chess!
AND hello Khashayar! :o)
hello! :-O
If only we could see the People of Iran successfully force a revolution and overturn the Mullahs, before the Mullahs get their country turned into the site of a nuclear weenie-roast...
This is too many good people to be destroyed because we have failed in the West to stand up to their Mullah's jihadist bullying and stone-wall tactics...not to mention the support they get from duplicitously hostile military export activities by our "friends" in Russia and China....
