I caught that maica. I turned it off after 30 minutes, but followed along on the live thread. President Bush was fabulous! That thing interviewing him...yuck!

"Can't hide freedom's song."

Beautiful words Starwise...they might make a great tagline :o) Congratulations to the Iraqi people trying to step into the light. And a special thank you to the American Soldier.

If someone should call me a BUSHBOT, I would consider it an honor!

BTW: For many reasons, I consider President Bush the greatest president of my lifetime with President Reagan a close second.

I read the thread about lutefisk and got quite a chuckle from it. doesn't seem very appetizing to me. Our family didn't have it, maybe because we lived far inland and had so many other delicious foods to eat.

DrDeb, This customer of mine from Iraq is one of the most clear thinking men I know. He absolutely loves President Bush, his wife is from Pakistan, and her brother is also a customer of mine (All Christians) and they all think President Bush is doing "God's work", and that is exactly how they put it.

Yesterday his brother-in-Law from Pakistan (Who manages a Hotel near Capitol Hill) stopped in for me to do some touch up work on his Mercedes Benz, and as I was polishing out some scratches on his car, we spoke about the situation in the Middle East and he sees things the way I do, and that we are witnessing history in the making. He told me he came here 35 years ago even though his family wondered why he would want to come here. This man LOVES this country, and I will take one of him over 10 John Murtha's.

I sure wish the entire nation could here these people, but our MSM will not have any of it

I am glad you have taught your children. Both my sister and I married completely Americanized spouses and I am the only one who remembers the traditions.

Oops I forgot to provide you with a final

HEADS UP:

The President will give his 4th and final speech on Iraq (in this series of speeches) tomorrow at 11 AM EDT!

NOTE: C-Span considers it so important that they plan to broadcast it on C-Span333333333333333 -- UNBELIEVABLE! They're certainly going to get a VERY nasty call from me tomorrow!

[You can contact C-Span at: (202) 737-3220]

I certainly hope the cable networks carry the speech live!

I know that I would think of President Bush as the greatest of my lifetime if it weren't for President Reagan. They're really close, but RR still wins. No flames, please, but President Bush is a great man, and one I greatly admire, but to my mind not as conservative-minded as I would like. A president as conservative as I would like would not make it past the primaries.

I agree 100%, and this is coming from somebody who loved Ronald Reagan like a father. Ronald Reagan made me believe in America again, he changed my life, and that is no exxageration. But IMHO George W. Bush feels the same why I do about Ronald Reagan and he has modeled his Presidency after Ronald Reagan, but done it better.

George W. Bush has had far more legislative success, and has had to deal with far more national tragedies, the EP-3 incident with China, 9/11, two major wars, the Space shuttle crash, at least 8 massive hurricanes, Tsunami relief, Earth Quake relief in Pakistan, all the while being viciously attacked by the Democrats, as well as them doing all they can to undermine his leadership in some of the most baseless attacks and lies I have ever witnessed in politics.

The fact that the democrats will side with our enemies in their desperate attempt to smear this President is proof enough for me that they FEAR him and what his leadership will do to kill any chance for them to regain power. The RATS are pulling out all the stops and they will fail

You're on the wrong list if you think we are going to flame you!!!! You are entitled to your opinion!!!! But I simply feel George W. Bush has been faced with far more than Ronald Reagan ever was. President Reagan was no more conservative than President Bush. He exploded the budget, spent like a drunken sailor as well. After what he did in Beirut he can't compare to President Bush as commander in chief. Don't get me wrong. I could name dozens of things I love about Reagan but those who think he was more conservative than President Bush need to go back and read the history of his presidency. Anyway they are close but President Bush has him beat as commander in chief.

I could not have said it better. All reasons President Bush is a better President. Keeping in mind that President Bush himself admires President Reagan as well.

Oops, didn't mean to say at all that RR was more conservative than President Bush! My point was, a conservative president to my liking has two chances of being elected, zero and none!

The flame comment was more directed to posters who don't know me like most of the dosers probably do, that I wasn't denigrating President Bush in the slightest!

Guess it's 'bout time for bed! *</|z
