New names up there in addition to Joshua's!
ping for address later
This could all be a set up, but I believe the name on the card is "Miguel Gallier"...
There are still many cards to be sent that have been paid for. It just takes a few minutes on the computer. They are sent by computer, but it is a REAL CARD with a real stamp. If anyone has trouble sending it, I will walk you through it on the phone. freeper@verizon.ent

Those people are repulsive. At least now they are being honest. They don't support the war and they, certainly, do NOT support our troops. I absolutely question their patriotism! I will send a real Christmas card to as many soilders as I can, as well as, adopting a few with Rush 24/7. Thanks for the thread, I saw it on Fox and Frieds this morning, but was unable to write the adress down.
Just Damn!
Just found a blog that is written by Joshua Sparling's brother-in-law, which tells a bit about how his injuries happened -- it's the part dated Nov. 29, 2005.
I hope it's okay to post part of it here.

"His injury was due to an IED (improvised explosive device) that was activated while he was on patrol in Iraq. His shin was severely fractured and pieces of it are missing as well as a lot of muscle and skin as well. Today or tomorrow they begin reconstructing his leg. This will take five or more different surgeries. The plan is to strengthen and heal the remaining bone and replace the missing part with a titanium rod. They will also need to use muscle from his thigh to replace the muscle lost in his lower leg and then graft skin from his back to his leg. Praise the Lord he still has feeling in all five of his toes, but no mobility. Doctors have high hopes for his leg although the recovery will be between 12-18 months.
"Continue to pray for Josh's physical as well as spiritual condition. It will be very difficult for Josh to go from a healthy and strong 24-year-old soldier to a weak and almost helpless patient. Pray that God will use this tremendous trial in his life."
Have you seen this? Disturbing at best, this sicko who is taunting an injured person recuperating in the hospital. I hope they're treating this card sending, cowardly psycho as the criminal he/she is.
From the un-friggin'- believable department.
I just forwarded this to my wife's with the question if her Marine Moms group can send Joshua some encouragement.
(I have not served. My tagline honors my son and my cousin.)
Heartbreaking, but we'll show 'em we love 'em.
These guys (and gal) are added onto my Christmas card list.
Prayer Warriors...These injured heroes can use our support. Please consider sending a card to each one on the list... That's what I plan to do.
My prayers going up for every one of these brave heroes. God's healing for them all...God's comfort for their families and friends, God's guidance for the medical teams.
Blessings,
trussell
If you want on/off my prayer ping list, please let me know. All requests happily honored.
I will write to every single one of them. I will make sure that bag of crap's work backfires!
May the Lord keep and bless each of those fine service members.
I had previously posted that I would notify my wife's Marine Moms group to ask her to ask them to send him some support. As usual, they were way ahead of me. They picked up on this earlier today and have been getting him cards and other things.
(The Marine Moms have a saying: There is no one tougher or meaner than a United States Marine, except his or her mother. AND, they not only look out for Marines, they're concerned about Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors. As to the latter, they understand that our sons and daughers are cared for by Naval corpsmen and -women. They spend a lot of volunteer time making up condolence books--memorial books--that are delivered to families of our honored dead. They have made up a number of those books for the families of servicemen and women of other branches.
(I'm not bragging. I just wanted you to know they stand by the mission of our men and women over There.)
I have not served. My tagline honors my son and cousin.
Merry Christmaas, Joshua.
