St. Chuck admires NPR's Nina the Red?

Admiring ANYBODY on NPR is a red flag. But praising Nina Totenberg for her objectivity is akin to praising Stalin for his kindness.

All I know is a real Freeper would never use the word "folly" in a post.

OK! I've had to entertain the missus for the last 4.5 hours, and i've missed the last 4,000(!!!) posts! Can someone recap quickly what i've missed???

Key Events:

Lot's of 'Rat pontificating, Curt Weldon delivers suspiciously pro-Murtha anti-Bush speech, Murtha rambles on and on in long speech that drains last bit of brain cells available and ends up spewing spinal cord tissue, GOP Senator Sam Johnson knocks it out of park in sum-up speech, lone 'Rat chickens out on objection to 3 minutes extra time for Johnson - just before the vote where all but three 'Rats chicken out on their widely broadcast posturing.

Bit of confusion where technically challenged GOP Congressman Linder voted Yea - then (I'm guessing here) voted "Yea" again when trying to reverse vote - which resulted in a second Un-ID'd GOP "Yea" vote - just before both "Yea" votes disappeared. End vote 400+ "Yea" to 3 whacko 'Rat "Nay" votes.

Last bit of posts basically sweeping up after the party and taking out the trash, consisting of one sleeper troll.

From the AP story:

Three Democrats, Jose Serrano of New York, Robert Wexler of Florida and Cynthia McKinney of Georgia, voted for withdrawal. Six voted present: Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington, Jerrold Nadler of New York, Maurice Hinchey of New York, Michael Capuano of Massachusetts, Major Owens of New York and William Lacy Clay of Missouri.

I couldn't keep from checking this thread every two minutes at work!

Finally the Republicans are fighting back with some real firepower. Taking the 'high road' only works among honorable opponents.

Liberals have been repeating a mantra of lies, which the MSM parrots. There has been little to no counter-argument, very few standing up for the truth.

I was listening to Hugh Hewitt yesterday and he suggested this brilliant tactic of making the Dems go on the record. I wrote a couple of Republican representatives and pushed the idea. Enough of us must have gotten through.

If Bush lied and the whole war is a mistake, if we're creating more terrorists by being there, if we're hurting our position in the world, then those that believed that should have voted for immediate withdrawal. But, as expected, they are as cowardly with their votes as they are in their policies. At least all except for Cynthia McKinney, who isn't a coward but a proud Socialist-Communist.

Who was the originator of this resolution? Was it JD Hayworth? I'm going to email him to thank him and encourage more of the same.

Thanks to Jim for this great community!

It became a perpetual war the same exact moment America became a democracy.

Democrats hate to say 'republic'. Which is ironic, considering they actually love their representative powers and know they'd lose on most issues if they were voted on by the 'common folk'.

Well, this proves it. For all his bluster, McDermott can't hold a candle to the moonbat hall of fame occupied by Cynthia McKinney. Oddly enough I feel pretty good about that. From a state that has a stolen Governor's office, McDermott and Osama lovin' Murray..apparently someone out there is at least worse than McDermott.

I was listening to Hugh Hewitt yesterday and he suggested this brilliant tactic of making the Dems go on the record.

Sean Hannity confronted General Weasel Clark on the H&C show Thursday night, and Clark hemmed-and-hawed, and completely dodged the question, "Are you going to ask your Democrat collegues in the Congress to bring this up for an up or down vote?"

What's interesting is Murtha has been regurgitating the same tired old garbage over and over for the last year and a half and he finally gets around to drafting a resolution.
