Zapatero is a disgrace - it is staggering to see how far Spain fell after Aznar left office.

Stylish piece, and very hard on the Spanish socialists. I'll be keeping an eye on Spain around the 20th to see what happens with the Valley of the Fallen.

30 years! Boy, does that make me feel old! I still remember the last couple of months of his life, the nervewracking paranoia, the fear of being accused of being a secret communist... I can't believe that I was only a freshman in college. Praise the Lord for the changes that have taken place in these 30 years. I'm now a proud US citizen, mother of 2 precious children who have never worried about "disappearing" in a police raid, and a born-again Christian. Yes, I still remember those days as if it were only yesterday... but thinking about it, it all was in another life-time, another planet maybe?

Dear Spain,
Be careful what you vote for - it could come back to bite you in the butt.
Enjoy the remaining 6 years of Sr. Zapatero's reign.

"Good evening. I'm Chevy Chase, and you're not. This just handed to me...Thirty years later, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead." Actually....

What Spain did in electing thins Socialist should be a lesson to everyone tempted to vote libertarian or other 3rd part -- or stay home -- in 2008; because Hillary would find a way to overthrow our constitution given a chance (okay, I may be overstating it.. but she would be as big or bigger disaster).

Spaniards dust off their memories of former dictator Francisco Franco. But this time he's coming back as a panto villain, Socialists never forget an old grudge. Do they?
