Some tough guy. He couldn't even break through those stick deodorant guys.
The Eagles were the only team that prevented the Falcons from having home field advantage last year. It's not clear why this is such a bizarre thought.
The Eagles aren't playing that great right now, but they were certainly still a threat to get things going and run the table.
Of course Vick isn't passing the ball that great - that is hardly news. Vick wasn't any better last year, though, and Falcons still made the NFC championship game and only the Eagles prevented them from having home field advantage.
BTW, I know that the NFC is totally wide open and the with the resurgence of the NFC, the Falcons or any other team have to show up every week or they might not even make the playoffs.
This season has been strange as very few teams have played any divisional games. The Falcons have only played one and still have two game with the 5-2 Bucs and 5-2 Panthers to play. It's too early to know who is going to make it through.
okay so maybe I came on a bit strong, and for that I apologize. that having been said, here are my thoughts on this:
every october, EVERY STINKING YEAR (except 2004), I have to put up with this "the eagles are dead and buried" drumbeat. either people don't learn, or they're waiting until they're right (in 2009 or so) and will take credit for being so smart at that time.
Tampa will falter with Chris Simms. maybe not disastrously, but enough to allow Carolina to win the South, because...
... and I know you're a fan and everything, but I can't sugarcoat it - Michael Vick is a fraud. I'm sorry, but he is.
I'd elaborate, but I'm headed to Landover (from Philly) for tonight's PHI/WAS game. take care.
You're right. Very classy post, accusing me of drug abuse. Typical Eagles fan.
