So you think Allen is to the right of Bush??? I strongly disagree with that.

I was floating the duo of Allen and JC Watts the other day...but, there is a long time, for that.
I think that even though there is a "bias" against Senators, the fact that he was a Governor first, should help him.
His brother is GM of Tampa Bay Buccaneers...another POTUS with a brother in Florida....now we need his bro to run for Gov.!!! LOL

I met him at Phyllis Schlafly's event during the Convention in NYC. He was very nice; very down to earth, and a committed to the issues he stands for.

I'll take Allen into consideration. I know little of him at this point.

He's the candidate of the month.
So far he's not kept his campaign promises so I'll just have to wait and see before I jump on his horse.

I've seen Allen's spiel, but I like Newt's ideas, best. Pence could stand out if he leads the fight for spending cuts effectively. It is high time for that.

Bush isn't to the right of anybody on anything except Roe, tax policy, the proper role of the courts and national defense. On everything else he's a liberal.
It isn't all that hard to be to the right of Bush.

I dare say if Mrs. Schlafly has her way Mike Pence will be the next President of the United States.

I can't remember why now, but Allen disappointed me as governor (when I lived in VA).
With George W Bush in political freefall

The problem is that Allen campaigned against signing such legislation.
He did use some weasel words as to why he supported the bill.

I wonder if Virginia has ever had the destruction that the Gulf did this summer, while he was in charge...AS GOVERNOR...which means it was MORE his job than the POTUS'. Hurricane Fran September 1996. Category 3 hurricane strikes North Carolina and Virginia, over 10-inch 24-hour rains in some locations and extensive agricultural and other losses; over $5.0 (5.8) billion damage/costs; 37 deaths.
That said, no one has seen the destruction the Gulf did this summer.

Allen's interesting, but it's too early to tell. I did like his comment, I think it was during John Bolton's confirmation hearings, about sipping tea at the UN with pinkies in the air.
