Well, this is definitely going to shorten my cruise around the world.

Fairtax makes more sense. No income taxes of any sort, only a VAT style of tax on purchases of new items.

The Fair Tax is not a VAT because there are no hidden taxes at each stage of production. The Fair Tax is collected only at the final stage of production.

Just a thought--when you tax something, you get less of it.

That is true ONLY under a condition where everything else stays the same.

Under the sales tax as currently proposed in HR25/S25 that would not be the case! Everyone would have more cash in his pocket and prices, over time, will be, for the most part, no more than they currently are. Additionally and most importantly, at least to my mind, is that everyone would be free to pursue income freely without worry as to tax implications. Further, no one would any longer have to live with the prospect of an agency of the government, the IRS, having the ability to destroy them financially with a mere allegation! Freedom! That's the word!

F R E E D O M ! ! !
