no one commits suicide by placing a pipe bomb in their own backpack. and a pipebomb level explosion is not an AQ signature.

consider this (pure specualtion of course) - its a copycat bombing by some left wing campus kook - knowing that an attack like this on US soil will hurt Bush.

Still not saying who the bomber was... nationality or gender. Saying that bomb sniffing dogs found the second device.

 Found a second device and detonated I would think that if this has been confirmed we can rule out a depressed/ crazy who just wants to kill himself. Secondary devices are usually triggered to go off when emergency responders arrive. This unfortunately is an all too common danger for bomb squad officers, EMTs, and Firemen.

Does anyone here remember a tv movie about 20 years ago starring Peter Strauss called "Under Seige"? Strauss played the head of the FBI, and the movie was about suicide bombings in the US. I still have the movie on tape. It was ahead of its time... but the times may be catching up.

Homicide bombers detonate multiple pipe bombs strapped to their body when they attack.

It looks like all of them didn't detonate at the same time. One blew up early and killed the perp as he was heading towards the stadium and the remaining pipe bombs were detonated by the authorities when they found his body.

Funny how they authorities are trying to spin this off as only a "pipe bomb suicide".

Just think if this person's intent was evil ... going into a stadium with 84K people, not only would there have been certain death for the people around the bomber but also the injuries and possible deaths as a result of panic. If that was the intent of the bomber then I am thankful the device went off before he/she entered the stadium.
