Ever since the gays were purged from the party, spending has increased by our side to the point of no return.
I don't think it's an accident.

I have no idea what her sexual preferences are nor do I care. It's her politics that bother me. I was merely saying that those in Congress were threatened with outing. Drier and Mikulski are two names that I remember.

Dreier talks a good game but is really just another political HACK! He's done NOTHING in California to stop illegal immigration and seems to spend more time on Hugh Hewitt's radio show polishing his image than doing his job.

But don't take my word for it. Just spend some time listening to this guy. He'll tell you what you want to hear but it's all pap.

Why would anyone think someone would lurch left just becuase he was gay? After all haven't David Brock and Andrew Sullivan remained staunch conservatives?

He's also not long term, Mary.
Calm down.

Judging from the vicious personal attacks, I felt sure I'd stumbled into DU by mistake.

So?
Prepared for what?
How a gay man refused to trick a woman into marrying him and having a baby a la McGreevey?
Being gay isn't a crime.

Someone on FNC just said that it's going to be Blunt with Drier as support.

Dreier from what I heard supports these massive guest worker scams floating around. They're nothing but a sellout of the US and conservatives should be very concerned with his appointment, even if it's only temporary.

I just heard it's NOT going to be David Dreier replacing DeLay temporarily.

It's going to be Congressman Roy Blount, according to Rep. McHenry of Virginia.

I think Blount's from Missouri.

I am from SO CAL but I do not share your opinion of Drier.

Get real. You obviously haven't been paying attention. Let me ask you. Do you think Dreier is a good conservative and qualified leader? There is only one answer to that, and most that are turthful, know what it is. But lets hear it from you.

FNC: Dreier OUT. Blount IN. Congressman McHenry (R-NC) just said on Fox News that Speaker Hastert requested that the GOP conference allow Roy Blount to serve temporarily as Majority Leader.

Ah, but you are wrong. If you are a Republican and gay it's a crime to liberals. Haven't figured out the logic behind that yet but it's like Al Gore's son getting busted for drinking - boys will be boys. When Bush's daughters were seen drinking - alcholics.

I know nothing about this guy. So if what I'm hearing from the others is true. We don't need anymore RINOs in leadership positions!

Hey dont get me wrong I am not saying he shouldnt be the Majority leader. But conservatives are going to find themselves in a little bit of a pickle here. Gosh look at the attitude toward gays by some of the conservatives on this board. There will be certain groups(conservative) that will oppose. Also the issue of his being a big supporter of DOMA(Defense of Marriage Act) and being gay would if he is gay would be a big issue in the press. MY thought is that our line should be that his private life is his on business.

If that's true it's a far better choice than Dreier. Hopefully Delay will be back soon.
