Thank GOD you checked in! I've been monitoring the Leesville paper online... laugh... I did see that as of yesterday there were still a lot of places without power...
Something was wrong with my puter, it wouldn't let me type. My Firefox was corrupted, my keyboard was messed up. I piddled around in my DOS and voila` I'm able to type.
God must surely look after children and computer illiterates. Lol
How did you make out with the hurricane?
I am a week behind in the news, it's gonna take me a couple of days to catch back up with what's going on.
I bet it's been a VERY rough week! I can't imagine going through that... but I know you're a tough one.. laugh!
Was your 'puter plugged in when the power went out? Or maybe you took a hit of lightening? At least you were able to get it up... I was laughing at your little blank responses... haha. Did y'all suffer much damage to the house?
We didn't even get a puff of wind w/the hurricane... and certainly not a drop of rain... it was pretty far east of us.
As I said before I was SO relieved to see you post .. was getting to the point I was gonna drive over there to find you!
How did your little one take it? Is she doing ok? I've been picturing you holding her all week!
I didn't know how else to respond. So I figured if I just posted my name you could see we survived.
Our house did great. Just some flashing around the chimney puffed up.Our trees took a lickin' though. They look like fall has already come and gone.
I can't carry a tun in a bucket, so when I started singing to her to get her mind off the darkness, heat and sounds outside, our older daughter, her soon-to-be, our son and hubby started telling me that they were suffering enough, for me not to add to their misery. Well, she thinks I sing beautiful. She's been like my shadow. I put myself in her place, I know how scared I would be if I didn't understand what was happening. Needless to say, she doesn't care too much for hurricanes. She loves MRE's. She always says, I'm eating what our soldiers eat.
Welcome home Turtleman. One more off the lists
LOL, I wish we had video of the chase! Sounds like the kind of dogs I own :o)
pbrown checked in!!!! :)
I'm a happy camper now! One more off the list!!
OMG, I missed it! Thank God she's OK.
Welcome back! We were pretty worried about you.
It's great to be back, and to be back safely, thanks. It was a week that we won't soon forget.
Thanks, and thanks for the concern. FR has lots of nice folks. :)
We came home yesterday and power came back on yesterday evening. Trying to put everything back together today.
We came prepared and have enough water for a small village.
Need some water?
:o)
Welcome home daybreakcoming. Howlin has been looking for you.
Thank you. Have been scanning this thread and looks like the chickens have all come home. Great!
I FReepmailed Howlin today to let her know.
Thanks for working this thread.
Welcome back! Meltdown it's quite the word for it, I'm really not sure what IS the right word. Hopefully, it'll only last until the hearings begin.
Just got power back Sunday, 10/09/05 in Wildwood, TX. I feel like I've been on another planet for 2 1/2 weeks. Living like a cave person has been a real social experiment. Today is my first day back to work. It's hard to concentrate. Glad to be back on line and connected with the world.
