Then you'll be VERY unhappy, newbie, because there's NO way that McIdiot will be the '08 GOP presidential candidate.

"Perhaps it will take having Hillary in the White House to get the GOP back on track."

I just don't get this kind of thinking.

George Allen thought Bush shoulda met with Cindy Shehan when she was protesting in TX.

I just can't get why putting any Dem in the WH would be better ever. But hey, whatever.

He'll do it without my vote.

Yes, people always bring that up as though it's persuasive.

1) Hillary is not guarenteed the '08 slot because the press annointed her.

2) I don't give a damn if Hillary is on the ticket. I won't vote for McCain.

My reasoning, even if half facetious, is given. Your rebuttal contained the typical vacuousness I would expect from a liberal - a character assassination and the standard assertion that your opponent is "brainless" - mouth substituting for thought.

So in like spirit. FU ;-)

"More Republicans"- is that the 1% that make up the Log Cabin crowd? Part of your 'big tent', aren't they stinky?

Barone has always been a squish. Limbaugh was fawning over him some time back, a tribute to the need for approval.

Yeah... but anyone who can take on the mob face to face without fear is my kind of politician.

"There's nothing paranoid about realizing that McCain is a player ... "

McCain self destructed in the campaign for the 2000 presidential run.

In fact after he was DOA, at the Republican Convention, he (on nation wide TV) did the following ...

"A display of John McCain’s anger, live on MSNBC. As he walked through a crowd on his way to delivering his concession speech Tuesday night, NBC’s Maria Shriver asked him "how do you feel?" McCain spun around and sternly commanded Shriver: "Please get out of here." The rebuke stunned MSNBC anchor Brian Williams."

From here

McCain may be a force, but he is uncontrollable under pressure and can be programmed to implode. The Karl Rove replacement should be able to deal with him.

JMHO

Like him or not he was at least willing to be a contrarian voice against waste in government.

Yeah, that's all he ever is, a 'voice.' He never does nothing but flap his gums.

Left to his own devices, McCain would push every issue toward the Democrats, just out of some obsessive hatred of Bush and the religious right wing of the party.

McCain is a dangerous man with harmful psychotic tendancies hidden so deep it would take a truckload of psychiatrists to root them out.

I would trust a Democrat before I trusted McCain. At least you know where a democrat is coming from.

"Who stole my strawberries?????"

That's for sure!

I am amazed, given McMainiac's continual dance with the devil, that anyone thinks (at this late date) that he is a viable candidate for a run at the Republican nomination for president.

McCains alliance with Kerry (of all people) on the MIA issue, his seemingly constant jabbing at President Bush, his cozying up to the enemy Democrats, his involvement in the Keating Five scandal, and on and on.

The people of Arizona keep electing him because he is entrenched and brings home the pork. It is quite another thing for unaffected voters to side with that lose cannon.

No Captain Queeg will not be president of these United States.

Let the liberals run him as their candidate, he is no conservative, I don't care how much he claims to be against government spending.
