Oh, I think there is a high probablility. That was one of the first things that crossed my mind too. "Good for the economy" and all that crap, just like the illegals. Some of these folks probably will be, but I expect there are a great deal more that will have the opposite effect, thus "justifyuing" more taxes. Still, at this time, it is the right thing to do (assisiting the evacuees...not more taxes).
Thankfully, we don't have too much of the dirty RAT vote fraud contingent up here. The voting is very much on the up and up. I say that based on my experience working the polls last year.
Northwest Arkansas is the fastest growing economic area in the country per the Miliken Institute.
The Univ. of Ark. just raised one billion dollars, unheard of for a public school of less than 20,000 students.
The state also has a budget surplus.
So, saying Arkansas is a "poor" state is based more on stereotypes of the past rather than the current status.
That's very good news....glad that's not a problem there; doesn't seem to be in my town either...I've observed a little bit...but I don't see the sort of behaviors/crowds that would raise one's eyebrows.
