Not sure I've ever tried it with okra, but I would be willing. Just don't make me suck crawfish heads and we'll do fine.

"In short, please don't act like the jackhole Yankees you've been forced to put up with all these years."

My dear procambarus, may I remind you that not all "jackhole" Yankees are evil.

For example, G. Mason was born a Yankee, moved to a Rebel state and didn't bring his "Yankees do it better" attitude with him.

I'm a Yankee by birth and a Rebel by choice. ;)

Dear, South La,

Please say you will do jobs that white people won't do, so we can tell all of these illegal aliens to go F themselves.

Sincerly, Pissed off border state resident

( Just sarcasm )

I like it. Sounds a lot like me and my family.

At any funeral, there's always at least on fight. I think a few leaders in the families get together and start a pool on who will be the one to start the fracas, then donate the winnings to help fray the cost of the funeral. :-)

Good way to raise funds. win-win situation.

"...and eat things you'd probably hire an exterminator to get out of your yard."

I have been saying this for years. If I saw a crawfish or crawdad or whatever they're called crawling across my kitchen floor, I'd stomp that sucker flat. I dang sure wouldn't eat it. Yes, I am Yankee born and Yankee bred. And I NEVER put tabasco sauce on anything, even ham and lima beans.

When I was a little girl, me and my brothers and sisters would go outside after a rain, find crawdad holes and catch them. If we were lucky, we could find them in ditches too.

I use crawdad flies on my fly rod. Once, when fishing in the Meremec, I watched these two guys jigging for them, when I was done and walked back to where the vehicles were parked, they showed me two bucketfuls of them. I forgot what they said they were going to make with them..

I didn't say anything about anybody being evil. Nor did I say, or even imply, that all Yankees were "jackholes". But I believe we can agree that there is a significant minority that is annoying as h3ll.

Best Regards,
Tom

steel_resolve: Maybe you should try to get the hang of reading the written word before you try reading minds. You're exactly the type of arrogant jackA$$hole that gives people a bad impression of northerners.

A welcome from Georgia. My wife is an ER nurse, here in Kennesaw, and she will give you all the extra hospitality she can.

We have the same overly helpful bureaucrats and will do all we can to help you despite their attentions and get you back on your feet and back to your gracious homes.

I've been to New Orleans and love crawfish et-toufee (sp?), so we would love for some of you to come and set a spell and swap family recipes and stories.

So if any of you stay with us, you are welcome to our hospitality and the love of our PCA church family.
