Cooper now on offense against Jesse Jackson, talking about the race of the mayor of NO and how they bear responsibility. Jesse saying "all the helicopters were in iraq". wow, they sure got back fast!
c'mon, even President Bush said it was "not acceptable".
Jesse Jackson talking about the OZONE LAYER!
The mayor of NO was spewing profanity during the news break here on KFYI.. (BLEEP (BLEEP) (BLEEP)
He's reaching.
Let me restate: I think we need a national curriculum with national testing standards that will be impervious to local conditions.
Right on. Brown had never had any disaster experience prior to getting this job.
Brown did so well when four hurricanes hit Florida last year. Why in hell did he just seem to fall apart in the most critical situation of his life?
That said, the local and state governments in Louisiana are clearly incompetent. A hurricane of biblical proportions is heading toward your state, and both Blanco and Nagin were talking to lawyers, worried about the fallout from evacuating New Orleans if the storm took a turn.
Bush is taking all the heat because the media and the liberal commentators they bring on are afraid of blaming a woman and a black.
I want somebody to ask Ray Nagin how come he got his family out of town, but he didn't care enough to get all those poor people out of town.
I think it's to keep track of how many hours President Bush has left in office....they expect him to be impeached next week. I think that is what I read earlier today...or is it to keep track of how many hours were pissed away til Bush acted on the relief effort?
Yes, it is; and every once in a while they'll say "It's been 4 days, 12 hours, and 10 minutes since this people had relief."
So now it's 4 and a half days.........when did they set that clock?
I can't explain how ecstatic it made me feel to see it.
Sheesh . . . a real momma's boy.
LOL!
Now Matthews is asking the governor of Alabama if they got a better "deal" with FEMA than MS and LA did.
Bush praised him today - said he was doing a great job, and was working 24/7
Wasn't it Mike Reagan who said that the liberals go out of their way to make a person hate them.
I would like to add that is mostly common sense persons.
It's gotten so bad................ well I can't say that on this forum of civilized common sense posters.
Trent sounds like he was on the warpath, and the MSM can't say he's out of touch because he lost his house. It must be killing them!
because that's the politically correct answer. in his gut, he would like to tell it like it is, that its hard to mount a relief effort when thugs are shooting at the choppers and the boats. but, I don't expect the president to say that. but we need politicos lower down the totem pole to say those things.
Today, Bush praised Haley Barbour for his leadership; he did not do the same with Whats-her-Face from LA. He thanked her for her hard work, but never once said the word leadership -- about either her or the mayor of NO.
About midday today. I've given up on it for awhile. I've fired up the Tivo and am watching last night's Wonderfalls.
Gloria Vanderbilt.
