Mayor Nagin's interview on CNN again.
He's unhinged.
One of these reporters needs to remind the kind mayor that his job is to run the City of NO and ask him what he is doing?
And as for Nagin, you get what you vote for. This should be a lesson to the nation.
I'm trying to understand why Nagin has time for all the interviews.
The explosions and fire - omg - is it The Riverwalk Mall?
He is blaming a lot of the lawlessness on the people dependent upon drugs [druggies]:
typing as he is speaking
"we have drug starving crazy addicts that are wreaking havoc"
"we can only target certain sections of the city and hope to G*d that we are not overrrun"
"we authorized 8 billion dollars to go to Iraq i lickety s quick
"we authorized $ x after 9-11
"you meant to tell me that you cant
that we can't figure out a way to authorize the resources that we need
"come on
"someone needs to get their ass on a plane and sit down and figure this thing out
"i don't want to see any ore g*damn press conferences
"dont tell me 40,000 are here, they ain't
"get of your asses and do something
"the city of NOLA will never be the same
Good God...not good.
"I'm trying to understand why Nagin has time for all the interviews."
that's easy -- he doesn't have a city to be mayor of anymore.
He really needs to stop getting air time and actually do some work in a command center with the FEMA folks.
He's talking and none of the people who need to hear him, can hear him.
I'd love to know if he really did ask the Governor to declare martial law days ago and she declined.
And didn't Max Mayfield from the NHC call them also warning them of the # of potential deaths/destruction.
...............
As did many non weather people and amatuers warned for all to get out of Katrina's path via internet boards as early as Wed., Thur., and Friday.
I know it will be hard but pass this onto everyone and repeat this over and over, especially those of you with access to radio shows, etc.,
American and foreignors who are offering "physical" aid and support to the disaster survivors need to STAY FOCUSED ON THE GOAL, STAY FOCUSED ON THE GOAL. Do not allow the nay sayers to distract search, rescue and relocation efforts. Focus on the goal, follow the LIGHT at the end of the tunnel. Keep the effort moving forward. Everyone can be the next persons pep talk coach. Keep verbally "Psyching up" your fellow men and women.
'morning all
Wow I'd be goin absolutly crazy.
Thanks.
What's worse, is that the announcers are cheering him.
There's plenty of time to point the finger, but what can we do to get this done? How can we get this done? How can we stop the looters and snipers? How can we save people's lives?
Am I missing something here?
I've noticed that; it's never the Salvation Army.
10 major Navy vessels are at Gulf Coast or on their way.
Friends don't let Friends live in Detriot.
I also heard him say someone needs to get on a plane between the president and governor and figure this thing out. OMG
And he said, I'm not a druggie and then something I couldn't follow. CNN will replay parts of it; they only played the first part so far.
This sounds like a lot, but there are 1000's, someone posted the number 4000 oil and gas platforms in the south. We have crude oil, we can take it out of the SPR if need be. What we do not have is enough refineries online, and anyone who heats with natural gas is in for a tremendous shock this winter. I'm one of them.
