And THAT was using a slow-moving Category 3 (Pam to be exact) passing just west of New Orleans.
The guy that was just speaking on FOX said it would probably come in to shore at a Cat. 3...is that right?
The guy Shep is interviewing (Sam) should work for the National Weather Service.
He knows that the storm will weaken to a 3 or possibly a 4 just before it hits.

24 hours ago this storm's winds barely topped 100 mph. People were forecasting that it would turn north and threaten New Orleans, but the sheer speed with which it's turned into an all-time hurricane has caught people off guard, I think.
