Now that I don't know, mewzilla, although something about one of the Florida bases was mentioned last night on the National Geographic special on 9/11.

Yeah, that was MacDill. And this other thing mentions Andrews. There've got to be more people who know about this.

This is why there should've been a verbatim record of all testimony taken by the commission.

And there isn't.

Congressional investigation, my derriere. Why the heck didn't Congress insist on a written official record?!

Janet Reno is now Secretary of Defense for domestic matters

So if 9/11 happened a few months earlier, then Clinton would be all set. How convenient.
I'm book marking your link. This will come in handy.
I have to make dinner, but I'm going to try to connect dots afterwords.

THANKS!

Gorelick should NEVER have been on that panel

Apparently the commission "arbitrarily" decided to limit their investigation to the years starting with 1998. Could the fact that Gorelick resigned from the Justice Dept in '97 have anything to do with that decision????

Standard diplo deniability:

"A Pentagon investigation has found no evidence..."

favorite word of the Clintons "evidence"

as in "there is no evidence"

meaning, nothing that can be brought into a court of law

Stevens relied upon international standards (i.e. what the Euros think) to support his opinion that executing a 17 year old was 'cruel and unusual' punishment. He's an idiot, but that is still not "relying on UN laws".

Remember how afraid we were just before the 2000 elections, that *something* would happen in this country, clinton would declare martial law, and he would NEVER leave? hmmmm, it's making sense now. That POS was making preparations for something that they knew might set in motion a disaster caused by their wall. Mary Jo White warned as much. They had the chatter. They had names and photos. And they had an overview that each agency only had a piece of. They knew they were gambling with our security. MHO, of course.

One more thing. Each agency could only see a part of the whole. SOMEBODY had to been the recipient of all those separate parts. And could see the whole. Martial Law, indeed. They knew there was a VERY good possibility that it may have to be invoked.

Those confirmations dates are valuable. Rumsfeld was in the building, but no other Bush appointees until Wolfowitz five weeks later, and no others until May. That is astounding! Thanks!

Glad to see that you are helping keep the Dietrich Snell complicity and conflict-of-interest issue front-and-center.

What needs to be asked: "Why on earth was he a staffer as he was so involved with the history?"

If so, did Frist or Lott pick the Republicans?

AFAIK Lott and Hastert.

November 11, 1999/ The new Counterterrorism Division will consolidate all FBI counterrorism initiatives under a single person.

April 6, 2000 / Janet Reno is now Secretary of Defense for domestic matters (see post #262 for original link)

Reno appointed as Sec of Defense for Domestic Issues (April 2000)

That makes it a whole different ball game.

Wonder how she fit into this whole mess.

I was stunned when I saw that guy in the National Geographic special on 9-11 after what I had read about him on this forum.

Oh,yes, it most definitely DOES. Those POS were making preparations for what they KNEW could be coming. There HAD to be a reason for the Sec. of Defense for Domestic Issues to be set up. It all makes sense now.

In regard to ABLE DANGER it puts Reno plum in the middle of the WALL between Defense,FBI and CIA.

Do you know if this was addressed by the 911 Commission???
