Thanks I never understood the other inplications of that passage, concerning the ark....

Correct. There is a correction of the news stories on Dr. Jones website at http://www.vendyljones.org.il/, and more info on the dig at http://www.vendyljones.org.il/Excavations.htm.
Personally, I am not sure it is time for the Ark to be found. However, Dr. Jones has found the other items that the copper scrolls report to have been hidden along with the Ark. May be another Capone's Vault, but I will definitely be checking the progress.

That won't be much of a problem with the understanding of genetics, in case Jewish lineage failed through historical records.

There is a scripture that says that God summoned ALL his power and sent it down into the bowels of hell - and thus Jesus was born again - "the first born of the dead".

I love finding the foreshadowing events in the Bible. Like the prophet (which one aludes me at the moment) making a pebble float on the water, then Jesus made Peter (whose name means rock) float on the water. Or when Abraham was going to sacrifice his son Isaac, foreshadowing God's sacrifice. God stopped him, and provided a ram with his horns caught in thorns to be sacrificed in Isaac's place, foreshadowing that God would provide a sacrifice to take Man's place...even with thorns on his head.

Not to mention how in Jeremiah it is told how God will forgive our wickedness and recognize our sins no more. Praise God!
God Bless!

Your welcome.
In spite of all the " Road signs " and " Clues " that God gave of the Messiah to identify him, they still refused to accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah, or didn't believe, and so, they were blind to see.
Even Jesus's crucification was ordained by God for our salvation.
There are over 300 prophecies in the OLD TEST in reference to the person of Jesus Christ.
The compound probabilities mathematical equation is astronomical even on these 8 prophecies of Jesus Christ.
To begin, eight prophecies were chosen that were totally beyond the human control of Jesus, such as:
1. His place of birth (Micah 5:2)
2. Time of birth (Daniel 9:25, Genesis 49:10)
3. Manner of birth (Isaiah 7:14)
4. Betrayal (Zechariah 11:11-13)
5. Manner of Death (Psalm 22:16), (Crucifixion). Note the crucifixion in detail, down to the gambling of the Roman soldiers for his robe. This was written 800 years before crucifixion was invented by the Romans.
6. Piercing of hands, feet and side (Psalm 22, Zechariah 12:10)
7. People mocking (Isaiah 53, Psalm 22)
8. Burial (Isaiah
The compound probability of these eight prophecies being fulfilled is 1 in 10 to the seventeenth power 10(17).
That is 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000.
Here is a link, were you can read more on some of the 300 prophecies of Jesus Christ.

Yes,, I love those examples of the Old Testiment prophecies fore shaddowing the coming of Christ, and also, the events that is to come, ( foreshaddows in the Old Test, and New Test ).
I don't know what Prophet you were reffering to in the Old Test about floating pebbles, but, in the book of II Kings Elisha floated a axehead that fell into the Jordan river by one of his servant/students in II King chapter 6 verses 1 - 7 chapter 6 verses 1-7
1: And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.
2: Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
3: And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.
4: So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.
5: But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.
6: And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.
7: Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

Yup... God knows what he is doing.

Israel had pledged itself to believe in one God and his laws. The portable palladium that they had constructed for him - The Ark of the Covenant - had been made out of acacia wood, (Exodus 25:10)which is still indigenous to the Sinai.
In 1 Samuel 6:12ff the Philistines sent the Ark of the Covenant, which they had captured back, to the Valley of Sorek. Samson lived not far away in a place called Zorah.

Thanks again - the site with the prophesies will make a great reference.

It also was laden with Gold ( or Gold leaf ).
In regards with NO ONE touching the ARK , only the Levities were allow to touch it, if anyone besides the Levities ( if they were in the Israel camp ) would be smitten.
There is a story in the Bible in the book of I Samuel chapter 5 verses 1 - 5
In this story the ARK of God is in the house of dagon and the heathen god dagon fell on it's face and broke into pieces and all was left was the torso of the god of dagon ( the Ark of GOD was taken from Israel by the Philistines ).
Also in that chapter, you can see what GOD did to the Philistines by them capturing the ARK of GOD.
1 Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.
2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon.
3 And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD.
So they took Dagon and set it in its place again.
4 And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the LORD.
The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagons torso was left of it.
5 Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagons house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.
6 But the hand of the LORD was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and He ravaged them and struck them with tumors,[c]both Ashdod and its territory.
7 And when the men of Ashdod saw how it was, they said, The ark of the God of Israel must not remain with us, for His hand is harsh toward us and Dagon our god.
8 Therefore they sent and gathered to themselves all the lords of the Philistines, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried away to Gath.
So they carried the ark of the God of Israel away.
9 So it was, after they had carried it away, that the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction; and He struck the men of the city, both small and great, and tumors broke out on them.
10 Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron.
So it was, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people! 11 So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go back to its own place, so that it does not kill us and our people.
For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.
12 And the men who did not die were stricken with the tumors, and the cry of the city went up to heaven.
