Good observations.

Is it too much to conclude that Young Assad has received help and encouragement from many quarters...including Soros and other america-loathing europeans And Americans in high places?

Fixed it for ya.

"The founders of our nation indicated that certain truths were self evident...you and I both believe that they were and are. I believe the same regarding this issue."

Keyword: "Our" nation.

America has now given the Iraqis a head-start and more than an "opportunity" to now fullfill this principle themselves.

And isn't what's really crucial is whether the Iraqi themselves believe "certain truths are evident"?

Actually your wrong, the Left has lapped up any news of American casualties. They can't help themselves... anybody watching them has noticed them revel in the death of American soldiers in Iraq.

Victory is a matter of hanging tough

Victory is a matter of hanging the toughs. There is no need to hang around when decisive military action can win the war immediately. We have the means but not the will.

It's amazing how clueless and moronic some people are...

I think it's time we loaded up some bombers on Diego Garcia and open a can of whupass on Western Iraq

then continue on to Syria, that is the source for trouble in western Iraq.

Besides half hearted threats and hand wringing, what was the response from the Clinton's after the USS Cole?

Was the military put on full alert? I think Bush would do that.

Was there a demand to friends and foes alike, for intel on the terrorists? I think Bush would do that.

Was there an immediate realization that the military downsizing of the 1990s was a critical error? I think Bush would have grasped that immediately.

And if we had identified the terrorist location and put the first bomb into an aspirin factory by mistake, was there an order to keep going and get the bastards? I truly believe that Bush would have done that.

Try as you might, you can't erase the facts or the images of the 1990's inaction by the prior administration. They were busy with other things, don't you know?

Yeah them too. I don't believe for one moment that the American news media hasn't hired local Iraqis as stringers who have promised the MSM good pictures-- i.e. I'll call my friends in the insurgency and they'll make sure the soldiers we are covering will get blown up. I think lots of American media entities should know and do know that they have hired and credentialed people who are aiding the insurgency.

Send in the B-52's after giving 72 hours notice to clear out the Sunni triangle

Yep. They should have done that right after the terrorists burned the 4 Americans in Fallujah. But now would be good.

it's a terrorist den and is a city on a major conduit or highway for bombers and bombmaking materials heading from Syria to Baghdad and points south

The question is why does our President let Syria get away with this?

"So much for "Whupass" talk."

We have killed thousands of terrorists and captured thousands more. That seems like "whupass" to me.

Yes and they have caused more then 15,000 American casualties. sounds like "Whupass" to me.I can't believe the American people are so ignorant to this Fact. The government still claims that it is small 5,000-20,000 insurgents.Come on wake up it's 10 times that and getting bigger, with the support of over a million. They have insiders in the army, police and even American military bases.Put the Iraqi people to work if you want your Americans home and a democratic government in place. That is the only viable solution! Many will say drop more bombs which will only fuel their(insurgents) propaganda to get new recruits.Yes secure the border get out of the Iraqi cities that should be the Iraqi's police and military job.Get them home!

..anybody watching them has noticed them [the American left]revel in the death of American soldiers in Iraq.

I agree. Before long, they will have demonstrations of joy in the streets when causalities are announced. Even during PBS, "Moments of Silence", the giggling can be heard in the background. It's a sad commentary on the effect that the Clinton's have had on America.

I've noticed. The people at Huff-Post link to evey report of American deaths and they yuck about it. They absolutely love when an American dies in Iraq-- the speed with which they use the bodies of our dead, even before they're cold, to launch attacks on Bush and the GOP is jaw-droppingly shameless.

the knowledge that a cop's sympathies may lie more with the Badr Organization than the Basran citizenry erodes general trust in the police.

Nor should you. It was well documented a few months ago. I believe it was about the time our guys took out a "camera man" believing he was a terrorist with a rocket launcher.
