Hey, at least Bush leads by example. So did Clinton...if you want your kid to be a pastey white, Big Mac-stuffing perv.

Yep, it's Bush's fault. He's making all the obese people eat

Come on. It's well known that when you spend federal tax dollars, people become smarter and more physically fit, especially schoolkids.

It doesn't take into acount even a slightly above average level of muscularity. I'm "obese" at 6'0 253lbs with a 425lb bench press. I guess the bureaucrats want everybody to be stickboys just like them.

I think they want us all to be skinny sticks. I'm a woman. I was fine until they changed the scale a few years back...yes, they CHANGED the scale. Suddenly I'm over-weight. One day I was fine, the next I was over-weight. I'm never going to be a stick. Thankfully when I told my good doctor at my last checkup that I still had 10 pounds to lose (from last baby) he said, "I don't consider you over-weight". Finally, some common sense.

If the left hadn't pushed it's curriculum of condoms and diversity and tolerance in schools, there may be time for phys-ed.

>>School Systems Nationwide Forced To Implement Pay-To-Play Athletic Programs.<<

I guess I should conceed that it's Bush's fault that school districts have found a revenue model on their own.

What's next: it's Bush's fault for higher football game ticket prices?

Forgot to mention, maybe if the DNC would stop mocking and attacking Bush, more kids would want to be like him and be healthy.

Blame the DNC.

This assumes that the only opportunity children have to get any exercise is during school hours - what about after school, on weekends, during the summer, etc? Since that's not government-supervised, I guess it doesn't count.

Don't touch this issue, because that's when the libs want your kids to sit in front of the tube with drinks and snacks approx 7 hours a day!??!
Where I come from, if we wanted to play soccer we had to pay for it by membership of a local Football Club after school time!!!

How much does it cost to take kids outside and let them kick a ball around?

Silly. Only little girls are taught to kick balls anymore. Boys could become too aggressive and warlike if they exercise. They can't participate in physical activites without being heavily medicated. < /sarc >

Good Lord, how much could two tumble mats and a kick ball cost?

You need to hire some more administrators at good salaries to look after the two tumble mats and a kick ball.

Tomorrows GOP Headline:

"Bush shows how to stay fit, trim and healthy without school PE programs"

second line:

Fat Teddy shows that simply spending money can't guarantee a slim healthy physique.

>>Bush's 2006 Budget Cut Physical Education By 25 Percent. Bush's 2006 budget request cut physical education funding for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade by $18.4 million.<<

While I have no doubt this is a complete lie, let's analyze their own numbers. If he cut 25% from last year, and its 18.4 million this year, it was $24.5 million last year. Remember: we are ignoring the fact that the federal govt. isn't really involved in education funding, and that this is a blatant contridiction of the liberals' screaming about unfunded mandates. California alone has 7 million school aged children. There are probably 35-40 million in America (conservative estimate). That means this funding was less than $1 per child.

While President Bush has made physical fitness a personal priority, his cuts to education funding have forced schools to roll back physical education classes

2002 Education Budget: $46,282,000,000.

2003 Education Budget: $57,400,000,000.

2004 Education Budget: $62,816,000,000.

2005 Education Budget: $70,953,000,000.

These RATs and the Mainstream Media are totally insane. 50% of the public swallows these lies without even a blink of personal research. About 1/2 of America is stupid beyond description.

remember when some democrat "lady" hoped Clarance Thomas would be fed high fat foods so he would have clogged arteries?

Conservatives made fun of clinton's big mac habbit but I don't remember anyone actually wishing death upon him.

Democrats are just plain mentally ill.

Definite "issues" there.
