..... It tells me that Rumsfeld and the President know exactly what the problems are at State.

And they have Sec. of State Rice, out front and center.

Yes, they do. I believe Condi was the absolutely best person to put in that position. From her days at Stanford, she is probably well aware of how weaselly libs work. Heck, she was probably the one who suggested bypassing the embassies! Ha!

....It showed Rummy interviewing himself on This Weak - with little stephy just sitting there - mute.

That was hilarious - a spoof on George Stefanopolus - how ever you spell it - the LIBERAL network host.

I love his contempt for our enemies, both foreign and domestic.

That doesn't make him always right.

He's not frozen by indecision and self-perservation.

He does what he does, to protect and defend the United States of America.

"It's a fact," Rumsfeld said. "I'm a survivor."

Amen!

LIBERALS would love to "hang him high" but Rumsfeld is the one who comes out on top.

Rumsfeld "IS" the heat in the kitchen.

I believe that's the Firecracker *400* (har-har, since we're pointing out errors this morning....LOL)

Seriously, I remember going to the 400 21 years ago (July 4th 1984), that's the one Richard Petty won to make it 200 Grand National wins. If Secretary Rumsfeld were a NASCAR racer, he would be the all time Winston points champion, bar none. He da MAN!

If it weren't so obscene it would actually be laughable to think of the drunken, delusional ted kennedy railing at Rummy about it being "time for him to resign"

If that's what I think it would have been I would love to have seen it. He's always asking himself questions and then answering them. He's one of the most brilliant analysts I've ever seen.

It doesn't make him always right, but I can feel pretty confident that he's looked at all the options, including the ones I wish he would have taken, and chosen the one he has. Now he could have rejected mine because the President shot it down because or because he shot it down. Take the small foot print in Iraq. I keep thinking we need more troops there, but Rummy and the generals believe they're going to be getting shot by the enemy more and shooting each other more if we have a lot more, and it's better to train up Iraqis.

I don't think there's ever a case where I don't respect his decision. I'm afraid I can't say that for the president, because I think he's shining us on the border/domestic security issue.

I stand corrected.

It was awhile back.

So, it's the Daytona 500 or the Firecracker 400.

Got it.

When he was chosen to be Sec.Def. this time, CSPIN ran the old confirmation hearings. Oh my, he was feisty then and has only gotten better!

He is a bit milder tho......

A larger force in Iraq makes it look more like an occupation. That is NOT a good thing. For the Iraqi's trying to get their own government up and it's not a good thing for us to present a greater target.

Seriously, I am interested in this little bypass of the State Department. It tells me that Rumsfeld and the President know exactly what the problems are at State.

Don't you just love it? In the meantime, the dems are getting shriller and more hysterical.

No one is always right, but I'm curious about your remark. Do you have a beef with Rummy about something?
