Nothing about the screen door?

Looks like they went with the sunroof option.

You get a magnetic compass to work on an all iron or steel boat by compensating it. It either has internal, movable compensating magnets, as on all modern compasses for small boats, or a pair of large, heavy, movable compensating iron balls near where it's placed. My moving the magnets or balls it's possible to alter the local magnetic field of the compass to compensate for most of the vessel's magnetic field, thereby eliminating most of the deviation.
