It's against forum rules to take arguments from one thread to another.
You're stalking demkicker.
"I come from Alamaba with a bajno on my knee."
Right. That chaperone stated the FBI had not asked them not to talk. I think, however, between Nat's family and the chaperones there was an agreement that the chaperones would not talk. In order not to hamper Nat's mom's efforts down there. IIRC
Wonder if you can buy those magnetic detachable signs anywhere?
Or parents, giving hand & face signals.
I marvel that the Aruban authorities manage to function at all with the mass media camped on their doorstep morning, noon, and night. That alone has to be a nightmare.
Obstruction of justice?
I can't see how Natalee can be knocked even if she went willingly with JVDS. Small islands present a sense of security (however false). I remember being young, single and accepting a ride from a local fellow on Grand Cayman Island and everything turned out just fine. We are still friends 35 years later.
Wonder if he was the decapitated guy?
Did you happen to read ken5050's Aruban taxi story? I'll repost it.

First night there..we're staying at a hotel out on the beach..can't remember the name..we couldn't get a rent- a car at the airport..told they were all gone..so we took a taxi...I'm somewhat gregarious on vacation, and tend to overtip those I like....was joking with the bellman who took our bags into the hotel..we had a dinner resrvation that night at the floating Indonesian restaurant in town..really neat place..wonderful food...I asked the bellman how long a ride it was..he told me, then suggested that his brother was a wonderul cab driver, and he'd be happy to arrange to have his brother pick us up at 8:30 that night..I figured that I was being scammed a bit, but always enjoy someone with a good spiel...so I readily concurred..That night, we;re dressed, come down to tthe hotel lobby at 8:25..there are are about 75 coupeles in the lobby screaming and yelling because there are NO cabs, and they all have to get to restaurants all over the island..I see MY doorman..he waves at me..calls us out to the front of the hotel..waves his arm..his brother and his taxi appear right in front..and there are 50 or so dumbstruck people looking at us like we must be royalty or something..It was station wagon, so after my wife was seated, I turned to the mob, announce where we were going said that we could take 4 more with us Two couples jumped in..turned out to be a wonderful evening...they were all really nice..and they wouldn't let me pay for either the cab both ways..because of course "MY" cab met us for the return ride..and our diner.. we spent several nights with them both that week...
I'm fairly pleased with the parents having that sit down in their home with Greta and Natalee's mother. I doubt that would happen here... each side would be lawyered up. Of course the VDS's want to think their boy is innocent, but I credit them for talking directly to Natalee's mom.
Maybe someone now is lying to take the heat off him?
Indeed.
And Greta & Beth didn't have to plead to speak w/them.
I would only hope that if an Aruban girl were missing in the US, we would be as tolerant with the demands, intrutions, and arrogance as their government has been. Of course, the "fiction novel" about a girl missing in paradise will sell better and that is because missing girls, children and women are a common place occurence in the US, hardly makes front page news anymore. Beth Twitty has to be devastated and my heart breaks for her, however IMHO she has done more harm than good with her threats and innuendo.

Whew..thought I did something bad...BTW, if you're gonna repost my stuff, next time kindly correct the typos..and feel free to edit out all my dangling participles..(g)
Are they there now?
I'm just not ready to paint the parents "involved and covering up." You know they WANT to believe their son is innocent. The father telling the boy to "quit talking" was presented by someone I watched (Greta?) in response to him mouthing off at school. I find that difficult to believe, but then again, the father was studying to be a judge.
It's a sickening mess.
Ah, so his story is changing, too!
