today 6am police go into house in Sta Cruz where they go with one person ……with initials S.C. this arrest took place 6am this morning…surprised the family with this arrest….we got different information, but we want to get all concrete things together before we bring this news to you…..we dont want to confuse anyone! we want to say that their is suspicion that she is ALIVE! but we dont want to bring up any suspicion to anyone but we will be back with info if this person has information for this case…also in Savaneta they took someone for interogation…..we are hoping this will come to an end, with all this suspicion we believe shes alive…..stay pending…..thank you harry

At 9:50 am: MSNBC & Fox have just reported the arrest of a fourth suspect. A 27 year old man.
It has been confirmed by Fox speaking to individual in Justice department 4th arrest 26 year old friend of joran

Fox News now reporting: Sources: 4th Person Arrested in Aruba Mystery

Authorities in Aruba arrested a fourth man in connection with the disappearance of missing Alabama honors student Natalee Holloway, sources told FOX News.

The new person detained is a 26-year-old friend of Joran van der Sloot — who was with Holloway the night she disappeared, sources said. Van der Sloot, 17, has been detained but not charged.

Unbelievable, after 18 days a fourth suspect now confirmed arrested, 26 year old, son of a prominent businessman and alleged friend of joran van der Sloot. Aruban authorities state there is an search going on with regards to this arrest but did not state where.

The boy has the initials SGC, and his father is also high in the judiciary.

Update: 1045 There is a rumor of another person taken into custody, his father recently committed suicide and that he has had serious mental issues since. He has two homes, a house on the main road of savaneta and also another one in Seroe Alejandro, and was know for having underground parties.

This is getting a little bizarre.

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - A fourth person has been detained in Aruba in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, authorities announced Friday.
The person “suspected of being involved” in Holloway’s disappearance was identified by the attorney general’s office only as a 26-year-old with the initials S.G.C. The office did not disclose the gender or say when the person was detained.

The arrest this morning was of a 26 year old. There wwere 2 dutch brothers questioned yesterday may have provided some information that led to this arrest. Also , a family friend of Joran Van Der Sloot was on the radio saying the Joran was a quiet nice boy who liked to go out with friends. The station is holding out hope publicly on the radio that she may be alive.

Let us hope and pray.

The Report is out via blog and newswire in the Netherlands on the status of the Father of Joran Van der Sloots visitation rights. He will be allowed to visit his son in jail. The newest development that I have heard this morning is that Joran’s attorney, A. Carlos will not be allowed to see Joran for 8 days. This is because he talked to witnesses and other people involved in the case. Amazing as it seems for Americans, this is forbidden in the Dutch legal system. (Thanks Gerben)

Here is what we have, with good extras from the local Ariba folks that are posting:

1. Someone named Lorenzo was detained and questioned yesterday, but we don't think he has been arrested yet. He is known to be a nutcase, maybe capable of something. His dad owned the Volkswagon dealership there but committed suicide 3 years ago and was found hanging in the hallway of their home.
2. Someone else was arrested this morning and two of our posters are trying to determine if this is their friend that was arrested. The name is Steve Croews. Croews is a common name like Smith or Jones and he is no relation to the Minister Croews that has been quoted some in some press releases. We now know that this Steve Croews is an acquaintance of Americaninaruba and DJTAYLOR, and that he drives a large party boat called the Tattoo that stays docked near the Marriott. Steve Croews is divorced and has two kids and works hard and also would have been the type that might have enjoyed going to a late-night party.
3. Finally, someone suggested that maybe Natalee was taken to an "underground party". Other posters have explained that these parties are thrown after the bars close, that they are supposed to get permissions before they have them, that the police quickly close down any parties that don't have permission, but that Lorenzo lives out away from town and does throw parties and the police don't close those down as easily.
4. In the radio announcements, there are several announcements from officials that they now are back to thinking she could be alive.

MY NAME IS Elio Nicolaas and I am a resident of Aruba. I am a retired policeman, having served with the police department for more than 21 years. I believe that I can say that I have more than average knowledge in police management and practical experience in investigation and interrogation techniques.

I already had my doubts about the (possible) real story behind the disappearance of Natalee Holloway after 3 or 4 days of such being reported in the media. The doubts ebbed away a little after the arrest of the two security guards. Hearing the (possible) alibi of one of these guards, I told many around me that they would be freed within 2 or 3 days. This did not happen and I have my personal thoughts about this. The arrest of the 3 ‘original suspects’ who were labelled ‘witnesses’ at first, while the two security guards were still detained, further broadened my doubts about this whole nightmare for Aruba and its people. There are still a lot of questions to be answered, irrespective the fate of Natalee Holloway and it might well be that these three suspects will turn out to be (unwilling?) witnesses after all. I believe that Natalee is alive and possibly (still) in Aruba. My heart goes out to her family and I hope that I am right. If not – God spare – I hope that the family will understand that everything should be done to find her. That is the main objective at the moment.

Too many rumours have been going around since the first week of the disappearance of Natalee and I believe it is time that everybody who is connected some way or the other to Natalee, should be interviewed in a serious manner. These rumours must be verified. To do this, there is no better way than by using the polygraph. Admittedly, even in the US, only a dozen or so states accept the polygraph as evidence in its courts of law. However, most states permit the use of the polygraph (lie detector) as a very powerful investigative tool. I believe that the persons close to Natalee can be interviewed in Aruba by a (accredited) FBI polygraphist, who will evaluate this, and the results (charts) should also be given to a private polygraphist in the US engaged by the Government of Aruba for evaluation.

This procedure would have been very common in the US, and it is a pity that no one has even mentioned this possibility. Some local media may feel intimidated to publish this point of view that I am suggesting, but I believe that all concerned will be well served by it.
