the kids should just continue to get what the father was originally paying... even if they were still married, and she decided to stay home, they would have to make due w/o her income... the rewards of her staying home offset the financial rewards...

although the father is making more now, and if they were still married, the kids might experience that benefit--unless he is the type of parent who saves/puts away the additional money and continues to live off of the original amount... perhaps he should just add more to their college account, or to their savings... but not necessarily to their living expenses...
