Love him or hate him, he was the youngest heavyweight in boxing history. Unfortunately for Tyson, Cus DAmato died. But Tyson's boxing career was finished when he lost to Buster Douglas in 1990.

I'm not going to disrespect the sport by losing to this caliber of fighter. I'm sorry to disappoint. I wish there was some way the fans could get some of their money back." What a flaming, narcissistic jerk.
It's all about him, and always has been. Can't even congratulate his opponent in a fair fight.
Good riddance you small little cretin.

"I'm not going to disrespect the sport by losing to this caliber of fighter." Mike Tyson is a low-caliber human being.

Unfortunately for Tyson, Cus DAmato died.
Absolutely correct. He could have gone down as one of the greatest fighters in the sport.

Hey, Tyson. How's it feel to be hit with the entire island of Ireland?
That's what McBride said he had planned for you.
You said you were going to gut him like a fish.
Not only did he out-class you in the social regard, he out-classed you in terms of boxing.
Time to hire yourself out as a bodyguard, if anyone would trust their lives to your ability.

"I can still get in shape but I don't think I have the fight and guts anymore,"
Tyson just doesn't have an ear for the sport anymore.

Tyson: 'I don't have the stomach for this'That is something that both Tyson and viewers(if any) can agree on.

All those fights and big purses and hardly a dime to show for it. This last purse will be gone in the ring of a bell.

head butting McBride Tyson is a pig. He plunged a thumb into the eye of his opponent in the Olympics, and his dirty fighting tactics have never changed. but throughout his career people just look the other way. I enjoy boxing, but Tyson has done nothing for the sport except make money for people who take it the easy way. Everyone wants another Ali, but Tyson has never been anything other than an overrated street thug.

The funny thing is that this guy from Ireland walks away with a mere $150k for the evening. Mike cleared $5 million but will only take $500k by the time he pays off loans and his taxes. This guy needs to hire up with WWF and wear a mask.
To: Che Chihuahua
And he'll end up just like Sonny Liston, owing the wrong guys $$ and ending up in an alley.

But he woulda, shoulda, coulda been great. There are three Tysons -- before Cus, during Cus and after Cus. This is one of those genuine sports tragedies.

The thing that would really be staggering would be a forensic accounting analysis of his income and expenditures during his career. How you can burn that much cash is beyond me. Even a blind pig might had thought about investing in some qualified retirement assets. Sheesh!
