I remember when Mary ran for governor here. She's around my two older daughter's ages, and I felt sorry for her. She's such a pretty girl, and doesn't understand how the porn industry will chew her up and spit her out. Remember Linda Lovelace? How about Savannah?

Imo, porn does have the capacity to harm oneself and loved ones. It can be an addiction just like drugs, alcohol, or gambling.

As far as her appearance at this fundraising dinner, as long as she and her escort behave appropriately, then what the heck? Considering the human crud that hung out in the White House during the Clinton years, she ain't that bad. Of course I think it's in poor taste, but we can hope for her to wake up, and follow a different path in life.

Regarding Sin and Porn Stars, I've had a theological question for some time:

What is the status of a porn movie that only contains married couples making out with each other?

What if a couple stars in a lot of porn movies, but only do it with each other and no-one else, and specifically try to target their movies only to other married couples?

How about instead of porn movies, they are produced and sold more as instructional videos?

Is it a sin to watch porn movies with your wife?

How about if you watch with your wife only the type of movies described above?

She washed His feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. The comparison is unjustified, I see no tears nor any act of penance from Ms Mary Carey that compares.

A better example for you is the harlot about to be stoned but alas even there the story does not end with Christ's words "He who is without sin cast the first stone" You see He turned to the woman after they all left and said "Go and sin no more".
