400,000 years.. do tell... Humans are suckers for a good story.. always have been.. 400,000 years,?, WHAT MONTH.?..If they're such good scientists and are able to verify such ages, why are these media figures always given in such round numbers? Why never 402,750 years ago? Why 57,250 years ago on other findings? It's always these multiple zeroes, which only confirm that they are the broadest of estimators to begin with.

Calico : A 200,000 Year Old Site In The Americas? I was under the impression that "tools" found at Calico were naturally made.

Researcher investigates early Home DepotAnd they know it was such because the Flintstones was scientifically -- if loosely -- based upon our earliest entrepreneurs as extrapolated by the scientific community.

What do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back?An unrepentant, hell-bound boomer about to go "boom!" when it meets eternity.

To WoW the rubes.. you know to inspire them..
Science fiction does not HAVE to be ALL bull sperm..
Thats what inspires them.. a little fact fortified with some story telling..
Fodder for the human mind to evolve great swelling tales of prime evil exploits..
Comes from watching too much pBS I think.. or 1,000,000 years B.C. (the movie)..
Good movie to..
What happened to all those that thought Marcus Welby was a REAL DOCTOR.?.
They became "scientists"... when they grew up.. but probably flunked out of Med. school.. Jurassic Parkettes.. dancing to some fiddlers tune.. occasionally showing the hash marks on their undies when they kick too high..

Question: If I find a rock today which is n years old and make it into a tool and, 1000 years from now, someone discovers and dates the tool - how old is the tool??

Diidnt they tell us the Clovis was the 1st tool? Clovis was the first tool discovered in North or South America. Tools predated that in Eurasia and Africa. The 10,000 years shows when humans arrived in the western hemisphere from Eurasia and Africa.
