Yet again, Carter proves he is an idiot, by speaking on a place he knows nothing of.

"The U.S. continues to suffer terrible embarrassment and a blow to our reputation ...."

Let's set the clock back to 1979 and the Iranian "embarrasment".
I wonder who the president was then?

Someone should stick to building houses and talking to Playboy.

I call for a congressional resolution to put a sock in Carter's mouth. Aren't there a bunch of actual mortgage-qualified, pseudo poor people he can help build houses for?

"About 540 detainees are being held at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. Some have been there more than three years without being charged with a crime."

Since these murderers are supposedly operating outside the bounds of international statecraft, let their organization leaders (i.e bin Laden, zaqarwi) step forward and prove their innocence and negotiate their release. Otherwise, let Bush and team handle their unique imprisonment. As is in all wars, when this one is over, only then should the conditions of release be discussed. Whether it is 3 years or 10 years. These guys are not represenative of typical drivebys in LA, therefore their so-called rights are not parallel. These are enemy prisoners of war. That is why this is legal. Their unleashed idiocy has brought it on themselves.

If Carter is so worried about their internment, let him build a camp in Georgia and run a anti-recidivism program based on peanut shelling and canning billy beer, and the discuss the nutritional value of pork rinds. Oops, belay that on the pork rinds. Might offend someone.

Carter is still trying desparately to counter the prevailing school of thought that he was, in fact, the worst president of the 20th century and possibly all time.

Hey Jimmuh, let me be the 50th person on this thread to ask you to STFU!

Is this the same moronic Carter than gave his approval of the election of a dictator in Venezuela? Is this the same buffoon Carter that has signed the Venezuelian people over to a man who doesn't care about human rights?

I think it's time that Carter is put in a small room with nice padded walls and a large section of duct tape over his mouth.

What a fool that old man is. If I were as bad a President as he was, I'd hide my face in shame, but fool's know no shame.

I apply the Ted Kennedy Rule to anything Carter says/does:

If he is for it, then I'm against it; and visa-versa.

We are at war. That makes these people prisoners of war in my book. POW's don't normally get trials. They get incarcerated for the duration of the war to keep them off the battlefield

I think Jimmah's last brain cell is starting to malfunction
