Ok "deployment" is from we landed to whenever. This also is "not in the region" of Iraq. Actually I am surprised they didn't send them to Diego Garcia since we own the whole securty situation there.

"The region" being discussed in this thread is the Korean theater. Guam probably would be considered in theater.
We did "deploy" them to Diego Garcia for awhile, when there was a need.
