Cloture vote should be after a quorum call at 10:45, correct?

I know all conservatives are really pissed at the turncoat 7 and the miserable deal last night. I already e-mailed ken Mehlman and took my name off the contributors list. But if you think we are pissed, go over and look at du, the crazies have a nation wide suicide watch going on. They are ready for civil war, but they have no guns... oh, what a paradox.

Frist should go forward on the vote and make the spineless seven vote with the Democrats. Call their bluff.

Trust me, the dems were so self satisfied yesterday. The Reps are pushing them to let them know the hammer will fall. It's shocking to them. They don't get the point. That little pow-wow they had yesterday doesn't mean anything.

Sessions just repeated that.

Just goes to show that when moderates try to run things, it just pisses everybody else off.

Senator Sessions: The Minority Leader seems to be saying that filibusters are here to stay and get used to it but the nuclear option must be off the table. Even yesterday Senator Byrd suggested yesterday that the nuclear option was always a valid option.

Did Frist call for a vote on Owen today

Reid offered unanimous consent to vitiate (skip, as passed) the Cloture vote, and move to Owen.

Frist said, "No." But, either way, there is a vote on Own in the near future. Either by cloture, or by unanimous consent.

How can the "nuclear option" be dead? They did'nt change the Senate rules did they? The compromise did not eliminate the nuke.
Let's waste more time and tax dollars...

Pat Buchanan was on Imus this AM and said Frist should go ahead with all the nominees and make McCain et. al. vote with the Democrats. Lately, I rarely agree with Pat, but on this I thought he was dead on. Welp lookie here, Frist is going to do just that. Senator McCain, looks like you are going to have to go on the record and vote with the Dems on this. Buh bye Presidential ambitions.
