Never said you did SS. Okay, not 'most' but a heck of a lot of them were bashing Frist.

All I'm saying is, we shouldn't jump to conclusions. Even Rush was cussing out Frist for being a bad leader for the first hour and a half of his show, but then calmed down later.

I think Rush meant the weasels agreed to a year and a half, but Frist is not part of this agreement.

I hope this agreement is in the shredder (along with the weasels' careers) very soon.

Cbodlt, are we wrong in thinking that Frist basically said this agreement is not binding. Therefore this idea that the Constitutional option cannot be implemented for a year and a half is wrong?

In essence, this agreement between the 14 Fools is an agreement between themselves?

Senator Frist knows that the "agreement" is BS, he is not falling for it!

Patience!

Back when I was just a lurker I remember how many people were upset with Bush and Powell over the China Plane Incident. Some posters were upset that we weren't much more aggressive w/ the Chinese. As we all saw, in the end all our planes belong to us.

Everyone around here needs to stop playing the persecution card. It's nauseating. Compromise is part of politics

The reason so many tempers are hot is this isn't just about some political "compromise" on a highway Bill or some other such pork barrel nonsense. This is about compromise on the Constitution.

The Democrats and their judges have been tearing it up practically unopposed now for decades for their own purposes. This was the best - and maybe the last - chance to stop them.

Instead, these bozos decided they would rather have the limelight and handshakes from their perverse buddies across the aisle. So, rather than do the right thing they swung into line to aid and abet them. This isn't about just some "compromise"; it's a betrayal of their very oath to defend our Constitution - all in the interest of some phony-baloney sense of puffed-up Senatorial "comity".

My Gawd, the Devil must be crowing today!

Scr*w them. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!

Senators are milling around on C-Span. Are they going to vote soon, or maybe tomorrow?

Cbodlt, are we wrong in thinking that Frist basically said this agreement is not binding.

It's a political agreement between just the 14 Senators. It can't be enforced anywhere. It's nothing more than a ginned-up speech from the floor of the Senate.

Therefore this idea that the Constitutional option cannot be implemented for a year and a half is wrong?

Frist (or any other Senator) can make a point of order any time they want to. The DEMs have to be on good behavior now, by voting nominees up or down. If they pull parliamentary shenanigans, we'll just come back to Filibuster City.

I heard the first hour, and I didn't hear Rush cuss out Frist.

I did hear him rip apart McCain and the rest of the cabal.

I have jumped to no conclusions. I know what happened here. 14 Senators think they can run the entire government, steal the right of the president to nominate judges for their own, and flip a finger to their constituents without paying the price. They are delusional, and no one more so than the King of the Mavericks for believing he'll EVER reside at Penn Ave.

A lot bash Frist no matter what time of day it is, the same people bash the president for their own reasons. the Majority of us are going to be with him if he pushes this through regardless of a RINO pact, and it sounds as though he intends to do just that.

It's been a good day today. We got one nominee through cloture, Bill Frist is pissed and aggressive and Graham is acting very defensive. DeWanker is in hiding. Methinks Graham and DeWanker will be doing the "Curly Shuffle" to get back on base before they are tagged out!
