I don't like Savage very much but I listen to him on t he way home and sometimes he says sometimes he says something good.
Last night he said: "Republican's don't know what to do with a victory. It's simple. Your pants get a little tight, that's all. You take'em off and go out the next day and get yourself a pair of britches a size larger. Simplest thing in the world. Win a battle, get bigger trousers. That's all."

"Chaffee of Rhode Island." Ughhhhhh!
Anyone capable of beating him there?
To: You Dirty Rats
To those Freepers who are (understandably) furious but who are directing their anger at Frist ... It is understandable, but it is not logical. I take comfort that these same people are furious with the 7 GOP who signed the agreement.

Rush heard us! He is blasting McCain NOW! LOL

If Chafee is correct, why didn't the 'Rats filibuster Clarence Thomas in 1991?
Anyway, for a nominee to be DIVISIVE required the the Senate actually divide. Chafee and others aren't permitting votes. I guess he feels there never should be a vote, since uncontroversial nominees will pass anyway. Completely disingenuous and transparent.

Rose: If you and I will move from TX to RI, we'll probably almost double the population. That's what happens when you have a state the size of one of our Texas counties!

LOL! The center of our universe these days seems to be FR. Say "Zot" to anyone but a freeper and he'll think we're crazy.
Rush is repeating Frist's communication to him that this whole thing is NOT over. Developing.....

When I'm reading an article either in a magazine or any other website I find myself composing my comments in my head, then am frustrated when I realize I can't post my response.Hahahahaha!! You aren't the only one who does that!

That's what Lindsay said last night -- that the 14 will check the names Bush submits... now how is Arlen going to like that?
IMO, this cabal seeks to usurp the Judiciary Committe. The 14 have a little side senate of their very own.

Oh...I completely agree. Which is why in my angry little email to Frist, I insisted that he act like a leader in the face of the Dems and Dem-wannabes!
I don't understand why you think Frist needs to be coddled at a time like this. If anything, he needs to know that many of us are not happy with the actions of these weasels. Maybe that will encourage him to stay on the path he was on.
To: ladtx
McRat not only usurped Frist's authority as Majority Leader, he also alienated 48 Senators from his own Party. He never was much of a team player. I would be quite surprised if the 48 don't eventually single out McCain for punishment on some appropriations bill.

Rush is pointing out that according to this agreement the gang of 14 made .. the President has to consult with them on future nominations I got a kick out of that display of written arrogance. Those Senators are going to get their butts handed to them by the WH.
To: ladtx
McCain's mutiny has created a third party in the Senate. The rats and pubs must now go to him to make a deal.
