That's an idea but I'd have to deal with not being wanted if it worked.

Core_Conservative here - I served in the US AF at KI Sawyer AFB Michigan - the Wife - ODC-Girl - had retired from the Michigan ANG but then 9/11 happened and they needed her expertise - so she unretired and is on Active Duty Orders for Homeland Defense - she currently has over 23 years service to this wonderful country.

I'm a little slow getting to the show. Have to compete with my dear wife for computer time in the evenings. Yesterday was her day.

The Freeper "Our man in Washington" did the same exact thing I did and joined up after 911. I have yet to meet him though I live about 10 minutes from him.

That's why I never thought the whole guard thing about the President was a big deal- once they told me I could miss up to six meetings a year without being activated, well...
I did however learn a lot of medical and first aid stuff, and flew in a Medevac from FLW to Scott in a thunderstorm.
Now THAT'S a barf alert.

LOL, you have my sympathies!
The draft and the Vietnam War ended a before my brother got out of HS (he was class of '74). In the meantime he became an anti-war DeadHead lefty nutcase who actually owned a copy of Mao's Little Red Book and apparently never got any wiser since. And this confirmed lefty who subscribes to the Michael Moore school of idiocy and likes to go rock climbing in South America for vacation- you guessed it, makes his money in the most capitalistic manner- in asset management. Go figure.

Yep, and they are going to change again. New CMF number will be the 35 series. That way the warrant numbers and the enlisted numbers match up.

Thank you to all of you for your service or your spouse's service.
All I can claim is being the proud daughter of a WWII Normandy vet (who passed away last week) and an adamant supporter of all our USA military, past and present.

I think I'm better off. My brother and I haven't had any contact with each other for years.
He's interesting, for a nutjob, and I miss seeing him.
But I don't miss his angry, leftist rants.
