Absolutely right. We have no privacy, and they just proved that. I'm betting Rush appeals this all the way up to the top. I'm not a Constitutional scholar, but this seems unconstitutional to me.
Phill Kline wasn't seeking records in order to prosecute illegal abortions--he was looking for evidence that the girls seeking abortions might have gotten pregnant by men over the age of 18, and therefore had suffered statutory rape.
And of course all of us recognize there are both good and bad things in Florida.
states rights
Do both.
In the meantime, sue these bastards for violations of federal and state laws re illegal use and exposure of a patient's medical history.
If any nurse, md or hospital employee did what these bastards did, they would face criminal charges and then be sued in civil courts and lose big time.
Let's see 4 people in black robes just overturned Roe vs. Wade the way I see it.
ROFL
They're out to get Rush. I hope he drags this all the way to the Supreme court.
Try about 15-20 million listeners a week. Rush has done so much for conservatives. I wonder what your real gripe here is....
With the federal HIPA regulations regarding privacy of medical records that we all have to sign to be seen, i would think there should be a federal way to sue and get this right.
"medical privacy is dead in FL."
Unless it's Michael Schiavo's or his acquanitances'.
What needs to happen is the Repub need to get a Republican District Attorney to seize some of the judges medical records and start looking for any wrong doing.
Exactly right on the new HIPAA stuff. Every time I go to the pharmacy, doctor's office, dentist's office etc its a whole new batch of forms to sign. Every time.
Since privacy is no longer an issue, perhaps we can sue for Kerry's military records?
Limbaugh could only win in the Florida Supreme Court if he denounced his conservativism and took up with Err America. Then he could have his privacy rights.
Me too.

Rush has, I'm guessing, millions of listeners. I would guess that many here listen to his show daily.
Perhaps....what was the lineup of 2000 v. 2005? Were the same judges in the majority and minority?
If they want to be consistent on the painkiller subject, the state of Florida had better raid the records of every retirment home and nursing home resident in the state. The abuse is rampant. They might nab a few doctors as well.
