Well I'll try to make a civilized reply to your post.

"Freedom of speech" guarantees she won't be prosecuted for the crime of speaking. That's a good thing, and I support it. I'm sure you do too.

"Freedom of speech" doesn't guarantee that she'll be free from criticism. I can call her stupid, and other can do the same. Non-celebrities also have freedom to speak our opinions. You do too (though maybe not on this forum).

I hope that helps clarify the issue.

As yet another minor red cadre in Hollywood, she hardly merits any in-depth research as to the exact particulars of her misguided views, but seemingly she just danced around a rationale. Either because she's too stupid to get beyond the braindead "blame Bush" level or smart enough to pay her crypto-radical dues without leaving herself too wide open to, or worthy of, a more substantial backlash.

I only inadvertently stumbled across the piece and though "hey, people like to know about vile stuff like this when deciding how to spend their entertainment dollars". Hopefully it comes back to haunt her at some point!
