Bill O'Reilly runs in the holier than thou crowd and is a figment of his own imagination.
Poor Sean Hannity. He's lost in space and survives on viewer sympathy. I mean how many years has the viewing audience waited for Sean to say something remarkable?
Savage seems sincere... in a clinically certifiable kind of way.
Sorry, he blasted Rush big time, one night. He claimed he would be around long after Rush is gone, that Rush is boring. I've heard him go after Rush before.
A con man with Leprosy?
Kinda like pro wrestling - I wonder who DOES watch. But he is part of the spice of life. I have nothing against him, on the whole.
A leprous Irish conservative?
Savage is nuts but he has balls. I like him because he doesn't care what people think of him. Hannity has his TV show and can't risk offending mainstream and O'Reilly is ridiculous with his no spin crap. Prager spends his time convincing us how good he is and how we also can follow his goodness. Ingraham has gotten too self righteous too and tends to treat her callers like an afterthought. Buckley is courteous but tries too hard to be soft and gentle. No one is that gentle.
This suggests to me that Savage is floundering.
"Hannity made a claim on his program several months ago that "you wouldn't believe which conservative radio talk show host is a phony, saying things as a calculation of market share" or something to this affect."
Chances are he's referring to another Clear Channel Guy.
My money is on one of the FM transplants. Glenn Beck, or Todd Schnitt (Florida).
His tirades against Rush, O'Reilly or Hannity are cyclical, like the changing of the seasons. He brings nothing to the table of ideas because he doesn't know how to deliver it.
I was wondering about them as well....used to listen to them locally in Tampa Bay when I visited....Think he might be scared of new competition?
A pompous self-righteous talking head who rails against secularism and the decay of morality in the country while secretly having phone sex with his assistant. All the while mind you asking, "Who's looking out for you"? That would be a Leper-Con.
I know nothing of Todd Schnitt, but I've heard enough of Glenn Beck to know he's the real deal. He was fighting for Terri long before any of the others had even heard her name, and that includes Rush, Dr. Savage, Hannity, and the rest.
med refill alert.
He had on as a guest a constitional lawyer, who was supporting the legality and constitutional consistency of the Congress passing a law or tax favoring opposite-sex-only 'traditional marriage. The lawyer was absolutely correct in his legal analysis, which went ENTIRELY over o'Reilly's head, as O'Reilly does not understand the Equal Protection Clause.
O'Reilly, on the other hand, was boasting (surprise?) that he was a "strict constructionist" and bombasting that failing to provide gay couples with similar tax benefits was unconstitutional, on "equal protection" grounds. As a lawyer, I can tell you that O'Reilly's legal reasoning was so wrong as to be laughable.
The thing that got me is that O'Reilly is SO arrogant that he thinks he can, effectively, BLUFF his audience and posture in areas where he has amateur-level knowledge, and think that nobody will notice.
I lost ALL respect for him -- and his guest was so exasperated the guest was literally gasping in disbelief.
Nothing in the article to indicate that Savage 'blast[ed] Rush Limbaugh'.
Savage's tactics of blasting the competition is reminiscent of Air America, which is "blame everyone else for your shi!tty ratings". If he spent most of his time constructing logical thought into his monologue and overall show, he wouldn't be the total bore that he truly is.
