This story doesn't have legs; where is the person (or deceased person) missing a finger; you don't just pick these things up off the street.
The woman is a nutcase and a fraud but we can't leave an unidentified finger to be unburied, can we???

I found a finger in my backyard a few years back. (I have dogs). I gave it back to them (the dogs). People here avoid mmy yard.

I read elsewhere that the cops think the finger was fabricated. Sure looked real in the photo but if they can fabricate a nose for Michael Jackson, I'm sure they can fabricate a finger.

I read one story where they were trying to match fingerprints from it; wonder if that was B.S.?

Here?

The article says she was with relatives and they confirmed her story to the police. They need to be charged with filing a false police report and conspiracy as well. They need to be nailed with lots of media coverage to discourage copycat frauds.
To: SamAdams76
So there may not be a real finger? Weird story.

she deserves a lot of punishment for this fraudShouldn't the lawyer who was going to help her sue also be held responsible for a fraudulent suit?
Certainly if he/she was an ethical attorney (if there is such a person) they would have checked out the plaintiff's character so as not to file a false/fraudulent lawsuit. I'm sure no attorney would want to receive a windfall under false pretenses. /sarcasm>

OK now I'm going to be sick.

Wendi's should sue the bitch for the 2.5 mil they lost in business. That should keep her too busy to file anymore bogus lawsuits.

Man some people have WAY too much time on their hands. I admit I'm a closet Trekkie, but I can't imagine going frame by frame looking for Scottie's missing finger.
To: dennisw
As he ate a bowl of Wendy's chili Friday, he said he has continued coming to the restaurant, even when he was the only customer during the normally busy lunch hour. "It's a big yuck factor, but it didn't stop me from eating it," he said as he scraped the bottom of his bowl with a plastic spoon.
"I'm in the septic and sanitation business, so I have a high tolerance for yuck."
From the link. I suppose a fellow that cleans septic tanks wouldn't even have a problem with McDonald's.

It seems that when things get tough you find out who your friends are. The regular customers of Wendy's really don't seem to give a darn about the people who work there, otherwise they wouldn't of stayed away.
