Methinks it would take vote fraud on a massive scale to get Hillary! into the office.

I doubt Rudy will run against her. I was sooooo hoping he would but I think the gooberner's mansion has his eye right now. Too bad. I think he could stomp her.

I'm curious, what will you do if she is your President? Will you jump off a bridge?

>>"thanks to the MSM she is the smartest woman on earth">>

That is correct in MHO. I have heard so many people, after being told by the media that Hillary was brilliant, parrot the same lines themselves. People who were not political and had no way of knowing one way or the other had been convinced because they 'read it in the paper' or 'saw it on the TV', that Hillary was the smartest woman in the world. Those people are still out there and they have been joined by many young people since Hillary first showed her face.

"My point is, we are going to have to reach inside and make the decision to either vote Republican no matter who runs,"

Are we sheep? If the Republican party cannot put forward a candidate worthy of my vote, they won't get it. I have heard people actually suggest McCain. Does anyone really think of him as a republican? I respect him for his time served in service of our country, but his time spent in government has not convinced me that he is not a opportunistic Democrat, just biding his time.

Newt can beat Hillary, I think

I respect Newt's intelligence. However, the media, with the help of Newt, has damaged him beyond repair. Brains aren't enough to win an election. You have to have the physical appearance. Newt doesn't have it. I wish he did. He would certainly get my vote.

"The same stupid people who elected slick willy not once, but twice, will be a big factor." "

Read post 65. It’s the answer to my biggest fear. I am NOT calling Proud Conservative2 stupid. He/She has a right to vote or not vote. I fear many Conservatives will stay home. By staying home, Hillary will be elected.

"Hillary has always acted like she is the president....There is NO substance in that pant suit!"

Bravo, yoe! What a terrific post. I love your comments. You are absolutely right. She's as empty a pant suit as John False Kerry was an empty suit.

Thanks so much for a great comment. I was so well constructed.

Char :)

"Newt can beat Hillary, I think."

I know one thing for sure. Newt would beat the pant suit off of Her Lowness in all 3 debates. He would show her up for the very bad actress that she is. He would expose her true lack of substance......but would a "whoopin'" over 3 debates be enough?

That is the only place he will beat her. The media will, as in the past, defeat him before he ever gets started. IMHO, he is already defeated. He has too many skeletons in the closet.

"He has too many skeletons in the closet."

Well, I'm still hoping that enough time has gone by that he can overcome that one admittedly atrocious PR gaffe that he made, ditching his cancer-stricken wife as he did. I suppose you're right. The liberal media will conduct an all-out attack on Newt, using that example of bad judgment as the "above-the-fold" banner headline issue, over and over again.

I don't understand how a man of such brilliance, scholarly status and great political skill could have stepped in it as badly as Newt did on that occasion......but, time marches on, and wasn't that well over 10 years ago?

I hear you. His is one of the brighest minds in politics.

In politics, 10 years is not that long ago. Newt cheated on two wives. His two timing with the last wife, did him in. As much as I admire Newt, he just doesn't have the visual package. Now a days, being smart isn't enough. You have to also be attractive. Sorry to say it, Newt isn't.

The myth is that Perot pulled evenly from Republicans and Democrats. Partly true, but if you realize that the Democrats he drew were the Reagan Democrats--you know, those Democrats who're willing to vote for a good Republican--you start to see the fallacy.

"You have to also be attractive. Sorry to say it, Newt isn't."

Sorry to say that I agree with you, which makes me wonder how 2 wives and at least 2 non-wives thought otherwise. It could be explained by the fact that many women are simply attracted to powerful men. Same for "celebrity" criminals..........i.e. Scott Peterson receives 100s of marriage proposals per week; ditto Menendez brothers, one of whom married one of the "love letter" groupies........and so it goes.

But for being a telegenic presidential candidate with winning face and body language, ole Newt doesn't cut it. I have to agree with you on that. It's a shame that he doesn't have the physical attributes to match his intellect and political assets.

Well, there is always a visit to the plastic surgeon. By the looks of Chelsea Clinton, they can do wonders.

"Well, there is always a visit to the plastic surgeon. By the looks of Chelsea Clinton, they can do wonders."

But then Newt wouldn't be Newt. In Chelsea's case, it was a matter of social (and probably marital-potential) survival. Not so with Newt. He is as he is. I still say that it's a shame that he lacks that "je ne sais quoi" of charm projection.....or charisma, because I would have loved to see his dismantle Shrill Hill, piece by piece over a campaign season.

Char :)
