Well, that was fun. I know a Southern Baptist lady that says the Pre-Trib Rapture will be in 2007. Thats what her friends tell her.

If that is the case, then all the Marian visions about praying are worthless. Even Akita specifically said that if people pray and repent that the world would be spared. Then there's the old "prayer availeth much". There may be fewer people praying in the US, but the ones that are praying are praying longer and harder. There is a conservative revival among the yound. Christianity has flourished in other countries before where Christianity was virtually non existant.
And besides, Jesus Christ Himself said know one knew the time but the Father.

I predict that America will become even MORE liberal in the next twenty years. Even those who call themselves conservative will advocate bigger government...

Only conservatism that is calling for bigger government is security (perhaps military borders) and military in general, and some science (nasa).
hopefully most conservatives will want to end entitlement programs.

The meaning of the olive is unclear. They are good in martinis and sometimes on pizza.
Actually, Cardinal Martini of Vermouth is in line for succession.

"Here are the seven last popes as identified from St. Malachy's list:"
If, indeed, Malachy was able to predict the names of the last 112 popes that is super, mega amazing. Since this is impossible, no proof or link has been offered.

Historians say Malachy's prediction wherein he listed just 112 popes has been amazingly accurate.I was reading on this issue the other day after I heard that the Pope had died and I ran across this...
IS THE NEXT POPE, THE LAST POPE?His prophecy contained a motto for 111 Popes starting with Celestine II (1143).Snip...
Note: As stated earlier the original prophecies of Malachy did not contain the Petrus Romanus motto - it was added after the 1820 publication of the prophecies.Snip...
The problem with the prophecies as listed in The Prophecies of St. Malachy, published by the Thomas A. Nelson, a Catholic Publishing House, (
St. Malachy, Peter Bander: The Prophecies of St. Malachy)
is that Malachy's original works listed only 111 Popes, not 112, as given in the TAN version of the prophecies. Sometime between the first and subsequent printings the 112th, Petrus Romanus, was added to Malachy's prophecy. There is some interesting commentary and several scenarios at the bottom of the page.
Lots of links having to do with 111, not 112, Popes..."111 popes"
I'm not Catholic so it doesn't matter much to me.

Looks like somebody has already up the same info without the link...

I agree, but he wouldn't be happy unless he was miserable.
And inflicting it on those he disagreed with.

Then there are those . . . who are loathe to believe in the yet-to-be fulfilled Bible prophecies regarding the end times.
Fascinating.

If it hasn't been confirmed by Nostradamus, it can't be true. /sarcasm

The only thing I recall reading about Nostradamus -- back in the late 60s, when I was in college -- was that he said the final battle would be against Islam. I only remember it because it seemed so unlikely -- in the late 60s it seemed a "final battle" against Communism (Russian or Chinese) was not so unlikely as one would hope -- but Islam?

Did Malachy say that peter the roman comes immediatley after the Glory of the Olives? I read somewhere that Peter the Roman was added later, in a different hand.
