Rush just reported that they already have thousands of signatures of county residents on a petition to impeach this monster.
Please, let it be so.

The act that Greer can be impeached for is the order he issued in response to a motion by Felos. This concerned the Governor's appearance on television announcing that he would send the DCF in to take custody of Terri Schiavo. Greer entered an order that essentially told an elected official that he was not to enforce a Florida statute that the official was sworn to enforce. In doing this, Greer was essentially claiming that the orders of his court in a civil proceeding trumped lawful acts of the legislature. Regardless of one's position on the Terri Schiavo matter, every legislator ought to be concerned that there is a judge out there ordering the Governor not to enforce laws that the legislature has passed. Note that this matter does not concern Florida's so-called "Terri's Law" which was held unconstitutional. This concerns long-extant legislation giving the Department of Children and Families a procedure to use in emergency cases. Greer ordered the Governor and the DCF to not do their duty under this law. This is a perfectly reasonable thing on which to impeach a judge. |

Florida lawmaker says he will consider impeaching Schiavo Judge Greer
This is such a wishy-washy statement and, a follow-up I heard on Rush's show don't give me any hope that Greer will face any disciplinary measures for using the court as a means to tweak the nose of the legislative branch.
No wonder we have judicial tyranny - legislators are scared to death of judges!!!
It's a good thing they don't have feeding tubes; they could be the next victim's of judicide!!

That's Florida!
I'm waiting for the real estate bubble to burst down in Key West. Wait till all the AIDs and Alzheimers patients figure it out - they're next! Florida won't pay to take care of them.

"The state House Judiciary Committee chairman said Tuesday he will consider starting an impeachment investigation of the state judge in the Terri Schiavo case, but said he thought it unlikely that the judge would be impeached." He sounds like Jeb and George W, they give up before the fight even begins. Maybe they've been drinking too much French wine.

One guy says it so it's news.
When there are enough people in the state house and the Senate on record saying they will actually do it, I'll listen to them.

Five or six of us met w/this guy, Dave Simmons. At the mtg where he said he would consider impeachment of Judge Greer he also stated that "Terri will be a martyr."
Feds on down knew the fix was in for Terri.
I am posting about Dave Simmons because his mtg w/us was a ruse. I've called his district office recently and advised his staff to visit www.northcountrygazette.org and to read June Maxam's book that's not out yet, on what I call Schiavo-Gate.
The politicos think they squeaked by. Not hardly. This crime has many, many witnesses.
8mmmauser, can you link this thread onto the December dailies? then what happens in January, 8?

''She will be a martyr when she dies,'' Simmons predicted. Although it appears that time has run out for the legislature to act in time to halt Schiavo's impending death, Simmons said he intends to work with the Senate to prevent future situations."
Simmons KNEW Terri would be a martyr because the rescue was cancelled the very day that people met w/him in Longwood. The VERY DAY.
I brought up the martyr thing to him in the first place, and it appears he felt it appropriate to state same to an out of state paper? He certainly didn't say that in Florida to my knowledge.
FV SAYS: Everyone who is still passionate about Terri's murder, contact Dave Simmons in Tallahassee. He thinks this has blown over. Not!

As far as I know, Simmons has not worked w/the Senate... He's falling down on the job, not keeping his word.
