Gee, I didn't think I'd have to explain it...kind of obvious, really...I'm mocking your statement by comparing it to someone from "a couple hundred years" ago arguing with Mr. Washington for accomodation and appeasement in the face of government tyranny.

Perhaps I should explain it to you in succint terms. Comparing Terri Schiavo to the American Revolution is silly.

Comparing Terri Schiavo to the American Revolution is silly That's hilarious. So, no analogy may be drawn from analagous situations to illustrate core principles, which have no bearing on time?
On the contrary, Mary, the simile is quite exact.
