Oh, my goodness! This lady on Hannity saying that dehydration is comfortable and peaceful!!!! She is really creepy, the way she sounds so cheerful is really eery.
I used to attend that church when Ray Ortlund was the minister! I loved to listen to the organ, from the balcony.
Lord, we praise you and give you all the glory, honor, power! We admit we don't know the future or your ways. We ask you Lord to help us understand this cruel act on Terri Schiavo. I plead with you to help us understand cause frankly I don't. I do not for the life of me understand what this country that was blessed by you is doing. Oh God I give you my fear and I ask that you take it from me. I give you my life and ask that you guide me!
Please do not let Terri die. Please intereven! Send you angels in to wipe out the evil spirits that are fighting to kill Terri. Lord, breathe your life into Terri! It is a spend down program. So, if you are a spouse, you should have to spend YOUR money if you want YOUR rights.
I know that Medicaid is a State Sponsered program. Here in Texas they will only allow the spouse to have $2,000 of income and you have to have no assets. Also, any jewelry other than wedding rings must be sold before Medicaid will pay a dime. Here in Texas they just passed a law that they will take your house after death. I just think the whole Medicaid thing is very strange and in a case here, Terri would not qualify. Michael would have to foot the bill and his bank statements, investments, etc. would be looked at and even retirement plans would have to be depleted.

ok. My husband is saying there is still a decision we are awaiting. He said that Hannity says if they follow the law on this, the Judge would HAVE to give her a reprive. PRAY. I hope my hubby is right.
With a normal hospice admission (terminal, less than 6 months to live) I know Medicare pays for everything (for those over 65). I'm not too sure where the Medicaid thing fits in.
