I was listening to Hannity's program for the few minutes I had to drive home. I don't know who the guest was. But he said, a judges job is to always look first to the Constitution then to the law.....and if it is unclear, he is to always bring the intent of the law in line with the Constitution; he is not to MAKE LAW.
I think Fury was responding to the ugly remark, not making it.
The executive's police are enforcing the judicial's orders upholding the legislative's law? That's how it normally works.
Thanks for your post....WE MUST REMEMBER THESE NAMES, AS WELL AS THE RATS' NAMES. NEVER FORGET EVERYBODY, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN FLORIDA!!!!!
Woohoo - Greer is impotent.
You certainly have my attention! Nice post! That's all I have is faith - these days...what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong. Nothing else to hold on to but faith.
Thanks for the reminder. It's all about good vs. evil.
Except the good needs to get more bold! Take it by force! IMHO
AND AG Crist!
Can't believe Saunders did this. From Naples no less...he might have just cut his own throat. Naples is 67% GOP Registered.
One would think it would be well known that she's not brain dead. But I heard a caller on a talk show today arguing that Terri's brain dead -- that her brain waves are flat! Some news outlet(s) must be reporting it way.
Who was the SOB who flipped at the last minute?
"Maybe the Lord wants Terri to come home...out of her brain dead shell of a body so that she can be free...
Ever think of it that way?"
Or...maybe he wants you to watch and learn about the sanctity of a beautiful life.
There is one little problem with the pardon situation. Terry has not committed a crime.Only criminals can be pardoned from punishment.
Under the law what is happening to Terry is not punishment. She has not committed a crime.
Terry is under the control of a guardian. Here guardian is her husband. No President or Govenror has the power to appoint or remove a guardian. Only Judges can do that. No president or Govenor has the power to overrule the decision of a guardian. Only the courts have the power to remove or over turn the decision of a guardian.
Her husband got the courts to give him the power kill her. He is exercising that power.
A pardon has no meaning in this case. One can't pardon someone who has never been convicted of a crime.
When our nation was founded the power over our lives were put into the hands of the judges. That is how our nation works. You may not like it, but kings and dictators have always had control over subjects life and death. The one thing our founders demanded was that our constitution not give the power of life and death to the president or any governor.
DoubleOJanet: just heard on fox news that Greer does not have that authority!
BUMP!!!
His ignorance could lead to his downfall from the bench.
Naples is a very wealthy area. Most people with a lot of wealth are atheists or agnostics and are not concerned with spiritual matters.
Some people repeat that lie deliberately.
It's a very easy case, marred by extreme corruption
Well said! It's almost like they are taunting us - "do something about it - because we aren't going to give you what you want... no matter what".
It wasn't Bennett--he has been wanting Terri to die for as long as I can remember.
You truly want to go there? You want to give a State Agency such as Department of Children and Families this kind of power? Are you INSANE?
