Ping!
Anyone able to confirm that W's nickname for Condi is 44?
If she's nominated, she has my vote. But it's way too early to be talking about 2008. Bush has just started his 2nd term and there is an election next year to prepare for.
Beware the Hillary trap: Republicans nominate Condi and then the Dems nominate Evan Bayh instead of Hillary. Condi might have a tough time beating Bayh (or somebody like him).
Anyone but Hildebeast.
Condi has my vote!
Yes, but I'd be prepared to stomach a President Bayh before risking President Hillary.
condi's got my vote.
No argument from me on that score!
Put me in Condi's corner.
Please!!!!!
Excellent-- she, and she alone, is what we need to defeat She-Who-Will-Not-Be-Named.
"Rice admitted to being mildly pro-choice (in favour of a womans right to choose) a position that for some right-wing voters will disqualify her immediately."
That's right. But it's time for some of you pro-life extremists to understand that you don't influence anything without being in the majority party. Get on the bus, stay on the bus, push your ideology AFTER the election.
snarks: "Republicans nominate Condi and then the Dems nominate Evan Bayh instead of Hillary"
Nonsense. Dems nominate WHO?!? The Dems have already nominated She-Who'... please. If I turn out to be wrong, I will publicly apologize to snarks and then I will EAT my website. The nomination of She-Who' in 08 is just about the most ineluctable force in the history of politics. For pete's sake, she's already a "moderate"!!
Hey, I think you're probably right that Hillary is the nominee-apparent of the Dems. But if some of the leaders of the party were to find a brain, they might have the sudden inspiration to use Hillary as the stalking horse for Bayh. And then the Dems might suddenly find themselves back in the White House again (shudder).
Hillary's running.
Read her press releases since November 6.
She's a moderate, don't you know? /sarcasm
Once the Supreme Court is secure, they will no longer be relevant.
I wouldn't vote for him, but almost all Democrats would and quite a few Republicans might.
Way too early to tell how this will turn out. One thought, why not have her run for VP? Problem is, Hillary was elected to the Senate, so she has been through a campaign. America may be more ready to elect a woman as VP than for president. All that said, she is definitely in the top 10 of my list for who I'd want to represent us as a nation.
"Condi" good!
