"Underneath all this is the disturbing fact that progressive campuses are charging their students tuition whose annual increases exceed the rate of inflation, while vocal professors have plenty of idle time on their hands and live lives that most Americans — or their own college staff members — can only dream of."

amen.

Yep. VHD is a good one. Of course, notice he has Davis in his name. :)

Sadly true - but it will get worse before it gets better. Upon the corporations rejection of these "party-U" flunkies, the U's will shrilly claim that "standards" have fallen, blithely insinuating that the only solution is to throw more money at/into the problem.

The cycle will viciously continue until the gears that grease the bloated Academia (and it's heroin-addicted like attachment to government funding) screech to halt... at which time the edifice will crumble, all those looney left-coasters will move to arizona, new mexico and other nearby "red state" locales... and commence to imprint their cancerous world-views upon the local voting/funding/regulation norms.

"what went on...in the sterile sanctuary of the Twin Towers".

so typical an academic conceit. Freud called this "projection"---if there are any sterile sanctuaries
in America they are located in our colleges and universities, where reality never dares intrude on the feverish workings of morally, intellectually and ideologically unhinged minds like Churchill's.
What went on in the Twin Towers was infinitely more intense and productive that what goes in at the University of Colorado.
